I have used Drivalia at Liverpool Airport several times and each time my car hire was dealt with by Gareth who I cannot praise highly enough. He was very pleasant and efficient and the whole experience was very pleasant.
I had a fantastic experience renting a van from Drivalia at Belfast International Airport. The process was smooth and hassle-free from start to finish. Toni was incredibly helpful, providing excellent customer service and making sure everything went perfectly. Highly recommend Drivalia for their professionalism and great service!
Overall, the rental went fine, but small details really let the experience down. We booked 8am–10p, yet in the morning they called saying their system couldn’t access our booking and asked us to come after 10 Luckily, the receptionist was lovely and did her best to help, so we managed - no complaints there, she’s been amazing. The real issue is after-service. I never received my rental contract (the email had no attachment), I got no return confirmation, and eight days later my deposit is still pending. Emails were ignored, and when I called, I was told the deposit was released - but nothing changed even after 7 days calling. For me, the poor communication and lack of follow-up ruined what could have been a smooth experience Also, we rented an electrical car and they gave us a cable with a 3 port socket and no explanation, as if we will go home charge the car in our living room lol wasted 1hr to figure out what to do and where else to go charge the car. EDIT: someone is probably copy/pasting review answers for “bad” and “good” review lol. But don’t get tricked they tell you to email them to investigate the matter but they are just ghosting. Someone’s probably paid 1hr every morning to copy/paste lmao
Very laid back and friendly service on pick up and drop off, which seemed good at the time. The branch was busy when I returned the car and nobody seemed bothered about checking it. The guy behind the desk told me there was no need for me to wait. Later, after returning home, I found a £160 charge on my credit card bill. I got in touch and was told that there was a stone chip on the windscreen - which there wasn't. Their website promises to send a damage report in such cases- they didn't. I've read some similar reviews and, like me, those customers had their own insurance and didn't buy Drivalia's. So beware if you are in the same situation. Very disappointed as the process felt refreshingly smooth and easy at the time, but I have to say it feels like I've been scammed.
It's always a pleasure to book via Drivalia; the staff is always super efficient on booking (special shout out to Daniel Bardos), and on picking up or dropping the cars. I have never had any issue with them and never look anywhere else for booking cars in the UK, I know I'll get the best deal and a great service.
I had an amazing experience with customer service! I showed up late to pick up my car, but Kay was so polite and reassuring. He told me not to worry and promised to sort everything out for me. He walked me through the process and explained the different insurance options, making it super easy for me to pick the one that suited me best. I can't thank them enough for his fantastic support!
