We have made reservation in that company by regular card. We should pay about 60 euro for two days. After arriving to their office they said that they accept only credit cards. Other way we should give them over 2000 euro deposit and cost of rental will be over 200 euro. Let everybody will answer themselve if they are ok in their had? We have lost also our reservation fee.
But we went down 100 metres to other rental company, which didnt had such problems. And IT was enough to pay by regular card.

We booked Economy in Costa Rica, we showed up at midnight for our reservation SUV pick up and they said they didn’t have a car. They tried to extort us $9k USD for a van when the SUV we reserved was around $1,800. There were two young females there who were told their car was in an accident and they didn’t have one for them either. The customer service was terrible at the location and on the phone with the country head office. They are known to given away reserved cars if there’s a walk in willing to pay more. They also add a bunch of “mandatory” ad ons the don’t tell you about.

We ended up driving to Enterprise and the experience was night and day. Never rent from Economy especially in a country you haven’t been to, pay $100 more for a trusted company.

One should be careful of the details on the prices. 2.500 euros is way too much as insurance, and the employee left the impression that it would be difficult to take it back in full even without damages - also after months. The other choice is double the renting price without return. Hard to choose when you are in the middle of nowhere and away from other facilities or the airport, right? I specifically booked the airport of Keflavik, but they drove me to the offices far away from the airport. And had to return a lot earlier for them to drive me again to the airport. I would not recommend this for anyone

Kaunas airport Price, car, in-airport pick up and drop off all good. Only issue was painfully slow wait time to collect car - we stood in a queue for over an hour whilst one member of staff was painfully slow dealing with each customer - whilst other staff stood around doing nothing to help as they only had one computer at the desk. They need to get better at this as lots of complaints - surely they know the number of pick ups due and can arrange more computers to check people in - worth the investment!

Worst rental car company I’ve ever dealt with. I paid a deposit by credit card and arrived in Aruba expecting to pay the remaining balance and pick up the vehicle, only to be told they were not accepting credit cards — cash only....

Not only did they require over $300 in cash for the rental balance, but they also demanded an additional $200 cash security deposit. With my family waiting and no way to withdraw that amount from an ATM, the situation quickly became stressful and frustrating.

When I stepped away briefly to explain the situation to my family, the employee informed me that they had canceled my reservation. I immediately requested a refund of my deposit and was told the owner would process it. It has now been over a week, despite multiple follow-ups, and I have yet to receive either an update or my refund.

I strongly recommend confirming payment policies in advance if you plan to rent from this company, as this experience caused significant inconvenience at the start of our trip.

Have only booked so far. Not yet been to the destination to collect the car. Booking process was easy however and the prices are very competitive. Was drawn to the 'meet & greet' service at the airport. I don't like having to go off-site to collect a car.

Hired a car at Calgary Airport, Canada to be dropped of in Vancouver, Canada. At time of booking we paid the one-way charge, all airport taxes and full insurance. At pick up the rental company claimed that we did not pay for these expenses and had to pay for these again as otherwise we could not get the car. The rental company advised us to sort the issue out with Economy Cars. I have tried now for over 6 months to get a detailed tax invoice from Economy Cars to get a break down of the voucher amount paid, but this has proved to be impossible. Strongly advise to avoid this company

Early Car Return Experience

We returned the car early on Sunday morning, arriving before 6 AM, and the representative was already there. He didn't wait for the official opening hour and immediately checked in the vehicle. The representative was very kind and helpful, and he also provided us with a voucher for the shuttle bus to the airport.
