Review Time
There's not a day that I get let behind because of the drivers being mad at the dumb people that have no respect and all of us have to get the worst of it too. They are public service people regardless of what they going thru they still have to give u the time that its in the bus schedule. I was here at the laos center and bus 3238 park let one person in and left didn't even give us here time to get in the bus and left not even a minute so now im late. I have respect to them but they don't care cus they think we all the same I don't drive and I work but always something going on with them and don't even have care for no one so why is it my taxes paid them and always treated like a peace of and im a single person so its not important to no one. Lost my job Beacouse ot this before so please do something about this please being judged by others dumb smokers.
I recently experienced an upsetting incident while taking the bus home from work. As a 23-year-old female, I was on the bus heading towards my stop when the male driver, likely in his mid-30s to early 40s, made a stop at a convenience store to pick up passengers. Just before my stop, I was organizing my bag and briefly put my vape in my mouth, accidentally taking a puff. I usually wait until I'm off the bus to use it, so I didn't think much of it. The driver approached me and stated that smoking was not allowed on the bus. I’m generally not confrontational and apologized, explaining it was an accident and it wouldn't happen again. However, he dismissed my apology, told me he didn't care, and insisted I get off the bus. It was nearing 6 PM and getting dark, and the area around the store is known to be unsafe, especially for a young woman. I expressed my concern about being left there, but he remained unyielding. I admit I called him a prick as I exited, feeling disrespected despite my respectful demeanor throughout. It felt incredibly unfair, especially since I’ve seen others smoke or use drugs on the bus without consequence. I was left in tears, fearing for my safety, especially since my family had to come pick me up.
As we near the end of the hot summer months, there's a growing concern about violence on buses and at terminals. In the past, I've suggested allocating budget funds for hiring a security firm. Having security personnel on buses during both day and night shifts could help reduce conflicts.
The service has deteriorated significantly. If management continues to let go of mechanics to benefit executives, the buses will keep breaking down. I've endured this for nearly three years, primarily because I can't afford a car, but it's never been this bad before.
