I ordered the heater and reached out to my landlord for installation. Unfortunately, they won't allow me to proceed. I contacted the company, and they simply stated it was too late for a return due to the 30-day policy. I should have checked with my landlord beforehand, but the heater remains unopened in its box and could easily be returned. Their customer service was very rigid and provided no help. As a small business owner, I know this isn’t how good business is conducted. If they are so desperate for money, it suggests they might be struggling, which raises concerns about the quality of their product. Reputable companies typically accept returns.
I ordered the heater and contacted my landlord to install it. Unfortunately, they will not allow me to do so. I contacted Envi, and they said, too bad. Nothing we can do as it is outside your 30 day window. Now should I have pre-emptively asked my landlord, probably so. But the heater is still in its box, never opened. It could easily be returned. Their customer service was completely cut and dry and offered zero assistance. I own my own small business and that isn't how business is done.If they need the money that badly, clearly they are hurting, so likely their product isn't great. Good companies accept returns.
I wish I saw these reviews before purchasing any eheat heaters. Three of the heaters started smoking after some years. I purchased three new ones and one came dead on arrival. eheat claims it is working in order to charge me for the return shipping. However, the reviews don't lie. They have such poor craftsmanship and quality control that a good percentage of its heaters leave the factory able to power on but unable to produce heat.
Bottom line up front, POOR QUALITY AND POOR WARRANTY SERVICE. I had to spend my time and over $200.00 out of pocket to fix a problem their QUALITY ASSURANCE should have caught before it left the factory and thier WARRANTY REPAIR SHOP should have found when I sent it back to them. In March of 2023, I purchased an Envi 110v wall mounted heater to replace another Envi heater that was starting to fail after years of use. In October of 2024, I finally got around to installing the new heater, but it did not function properly (IntermittentOperation). I didn't have time to mess with it, so I used a small space heater to get by. Luckily, the 2024 winter was not particularly hard. As winter started to set in this year, I resolved to get the issue addressed. I contacted customer service at eheat, and they were very helpful in assigning an RMA number for warranty work. I spent the money to send it back to eheat, and within a couple of days I was notified they were sending the unit back to me. I called to find out what they had found, and they told me the unit worked fine for them, but they replaced a part that could be the cause of the problem. When I received the heater, I immediately reinstalled it and it had the exact same issue. I called an electrician and when he came out, he found an internal connection on the heater was loose. He tightened that one and checked all the other internal connections, and the unit started working properly.
Don’t by one. It’s a waste of money. Just purchased one in December of 2024. It was delivered a few days ago. I installed it and it doesn’t project any heat out. When using the app the room temp never changes, it’s still cold where installed. It puts very little to no heat out. Will contact EHeat, during normal business hours for a replacement. Maybe I go a dud.
Purchased a Smart Envi 500 watt heater December of 2024. It has what looks like a defective controller which turns the heat on and off by the minute. Clearly a defective internal sensor. I have requested a replacement. We'll see what their customer service does.
Writing this review and complaint from Brampton, ON, Canada November 28, 2024. I purchased a two pack of plug-in refurbished wall heaters in May of 2022. Immediately one of the heaters acted up. The first time I pushed the on/off button it stayed in and stayed on. Have to use the wall plug to turn off when leaving the house. But most importantly, the heater makes the house lights flicker high and low on a one second approx timing. The second heater has worked well but now after two years it too is starting to make the house lights flicker. When I contacted eHeat on 04/22/2022 the response from two eHeat representatives was that they have never heard of their heaters making the lights flicker, but very surprisingly were not interested in warranty nor having me return them to the USA factory and find out what makes the lights flicker. Not interested in improving their products? The heaters are a great idea in that the on-off cycle is controlled by a printed circuit board and not a mechanical relay, which softly turns off the power. The electrical consumption spikes up when using a mechanical relay and thus uses more electricity. So this is why I chose eHeat wall heaters in the first place. And, reading below to complaint by Jeremy Paone, I myself DO LIKE the fact that it has NO FAN! Nicely silent operation and warm air rising from the unit circulates across the room in time and cooler air then back into the bottom side of the unit. Shame on them for no interest in finding a fix for me.Invoice number on or about 22 May 2022 is Order #3xxx27 and I have successfully recently signed in to my eHeat account to confirm this order number through the email link that was sent to me in May 2022.
