Review Time
This is a subscription that did not work for me first time round due to its complex set up and poor support. When you have a frustrating challenge and are supported only by a pre-written bot you lose interest and move on. However, after the subscription renewing I asked for a refund after battling through the bot chat and finally got confirmation I can have a refund. Then you get emails reminding you what you will lose. As I do not use this tech I lose nothing so please process me refund. Nothing other than another email telling me the connected sites will no longer be able to be used. As I was then off for a number of days, I came back to work and checked in by replying to support. Only to be told the ticket has been cancelled and I need to start the process again. AND, they are very clear you MUST cancel within 30 days. So, if I do not get my refund confirmation this way, I will contact the bank for a chargeback as I have an email confirming I can be refunded and they are clearly delaying this.
Oh dear. I read recently about companies which pay individuals to write fake five star reviews....and take a quick scoot through the supposed 5 star reviews, and you might smell something fishy. Then take a look at the 1 star reviews, which are a whole lot more authentic.
Okay people, here's another Wordpress theme builder with absolutely horrible UX designed by engineers who have no idea about user experience. It's horrid. I tried so hard to get it to work as I had heard good things about it but it seems to have been designed for people who know how to use Elementor (go figure)...the kind of people who run agencies with big budgets who have developers who know what they're doing with this horrible WP plugin. I'm 16 years into running my website using various themes on Wordpress, but I could not get on with this theme. It's rank. The pits.
Twice I have raised a ticket to ask for a full refund and both times, it's not been dignified with a response. No email confirmation of my request. In fact, no communication at all. Terrible comms for an awful theme. The a look at the 1 star reviews and that's something else which keeps coming up. Avoiding giving refunds. I WON'T BACK DOWN UNTIL I GET A REFUND. I'm telling you that.
After doing some research I have discovered Astra which is so much easier. It's like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Astra is like a breath of fresh air, where as Elementor is like a bad fart. Avoid at all costs.
I’m really impressed with Elementor’s customer service — it’s rare to experience support like this. After my issue was resolved, the representative asked if it was okay to close the ticket. While replying quickly, I accidentally chose a Google auto-suggested response and wrote “Yes, please cancel.” Instead of just closing it, the representative followed up to make sure I understood that closing a ticket simply means the issue is resolved, not canceled. That extra care really stood out.
Response times were lightning fast from the very beginning, even when I first reached out in a rush using a general email address and was immediately guided on how to open a ticket properly.
The page builder itself is incredibly easy and intuitive, with an extensive library of videos and tutorials that clearly explain every detail. With no web-design knowledge — just basic computer skills — I was able to create a fully functional, great-looking website. I was sooo proud of myself 😄 everything worked smoothly, and support was always available whenever I needed it.
With Elementor, it truly feels like you have a team working for you.

Use Hostinger or any other platform, do not use Elementor! I purchased an Elementor plan to build a website. Noticed that it does not have the features it claims to have. Their AI says to go through the cancelation process for a refund and once you cancel your plan you no longer have access to customer support. They sent me an email which bounced back as invalid. I am unable to contact them for a refund. Absolutely terrible support.
UPDATE: It is unfortunate that a customer has to go through reviewing online in order to get a response. The Elementor team responded to my review on here before they ever responded to my email, and it is most likely because of my review that they responded at all. They ended up giving the refund but that certainly does not change the fact that their support system is deeply lacking. They tell you to reach out to their info email, which bounces back. The bounce back email says to reach out to their help email, which also bounces back. For a website building platform you would think the support emails would work.
With 28 years in digital and product design, I've encountered various software, but my recent experience with this web editor has been the worst in over a decade. The tool lacks logical design, seeming to introduce fixes that only create more issues, leading to a chaotic development process. I came to this platform after using hand coding, Bootstrap, and other tools, attracted by its marketing and claims of being 'the best'. However, I regret my choice after two weeks. The interface is not user-friendly, and it appears that user experience is not prioritized by the developers. Making changes in mobile view without the correct icon leads to unexpected problems in the desktop design. I was able to design swiftly with other platforms, but here, mistakes often couldn't be undone due to a malfunctioning feature. In my three decades in digital, this tool ranks among the worst I've used. I strongly advise newcomers to web design to avoid this editor and explore other options that may serve them better.

I'm quite upset about the changes made to my website. I wanted to understand how it operates, but the platform altered everything unexpectedly. Now, I can only access my site if I purchase an upgrade, which is very disappointing.
