Review Time
I ordered the engine kit, and it arrived promptly. The components are well-constructed and visually appealing. It took me under an hour to put it together, taking my time as I had never assembled this type of engine before. The kit includes a few extra small, clear pieces that hold the wheels or arms together, which was helpful since I misplaced one under the couch. I opted for shipping insurance since it was affordable, but I ultimately didn't need it. I do wish some of the other engines were available as kits.
I can't thank Alice and the Engine DIY team enough! My H75 arrived to me in the Northeast US with pretty significant shipping damage. Like the international flight didn't land, someone just threw the box out a window when they were close. I spun it over with my drill starter and crank internals seemed undamaged. I contacted Engine DIY and Alice replied very quickly. Alice andcthe team sent all the replacement parts I needed (brackets, ignition items and assorted screws) very quickly and kept me informed of the shipping details. Engine DIY obviously doesn't build the H75 or make the box for this so I'm sure these parts weren't in stock items with them, but they got it done! I've completed replacing everything and hoping to run soon. I'll update with my thoughts on the engine when I do, but I wanted to rate Engine DIY separately from the engine here with 10 plus stars!
Sorry to say that you always have a little trepidation when you press the order confirmation button from a Chinese seller, but I can't fault Enginediy. Excellent communication, the boiler I purchased was securely packaged, despatched promptly with great tracking. The boiler and fittings appear to be quality items representing good value for money, though as yet untested.
1 , communication was the best right off the bat 2, effort of helpfulness was 10/10 , 3 alternative thinking was outstanding 4 ,it feels like you have known them all your life. I would not even think of going somewhere else best service I have seen in a long time
I've put together 7 engines so far and I am still putting more together. I am currently working on the T-700 Turboshaft but I hit a snag when I realized I was missing two LEDs, however I notified EngineDIY and they have sent them to me, I'm just waiting for the package. The steps that I have done already went well and it is coming together.
