Adjuster is very incompetent. In this time of need I got assigned to the same inattentive adjuster twice. I have worked more on my claim that he has by an order of magnitude. As soon as this claim is closed I am moving to another company.
Worst pice of shi& insurance and it’s worthless on top of that. Apparently nobody works weekends so if you need a rental car you are literally fucke$ having to walk home WHEREVER your car got fucjed up. I’m canceling it and getting someone that can take care of business and actually it’s stupid enough to think accidents happen on weekends.
I had been with Esurance for about four years before I moved out of my state of Florida. For the most part it had been okay: I am a very low-risk driver so I never get into accidents, therefore I never had to deal with the insurance folks. They also offered the most competitive rate. But after my vehicle was sideswiped in summer 2023 by a speeding driver, who admitted fault on the spot, my insurance fee went up by a hundred dollars (I pay on biannual basis). This is something perhaps many auto insurance companies are guilty of. Then when I moved out of Florida to abroad for work, I spoke with an agent to cancel my auto insurance as my vehicle would not be in operation for most of the year. I am not sure if I made it clear that the cancellation was temporary--I thought I did, but I was not advised to keep the insurance on. Because a month later (last week or so), I learned that Florida DMV sent me a letter saying that Esurance let them know I canceled my policy, and the DMV requests me to reinstate an auto insurance or my license gets suspended. This would be very bad, since I have to move back to Florida later this year. Up until when I learned of the letter I was not aware that Florida law requires you to have an auto insurance at all time if you want to keep your Florida license and vehicle registration. It complicated matters as I was already abroad at the time... While my own ignorance is one thing, I just think it is strange that the Esurance agent who spoke with me over the phone did not let me know of this--the only reasonable excuse would be maybe I did not make it clear my move was temporary, but I thought I told them that I plan to still use them when I am back later this year, so to me it would make sense then that they advise me to keep the insurance.
So, let me preface this with a little background. I am a retired Army Veteran with 22 years of Honorable service. I'm a very open-minded, easy-going, and somewhat forgiving kind of gal. I like to think of myself as trustworthy and very reasonable, I don't ask more of anyone or anything as long as their end of the deal is upheld when I expect and depend on something to work as advertised. So, I've had a good many automobile companies over the years, since the day I got my license oh so many moons ago...we won't go into detail bout that. ;P I've had policies with USAA, Geico, Farmers, etc. I switched to Esurance looking to save some cash on my monthly premium, and at first, that was enough...This company did what was required of them which made me a very happy gal, Until it was time for them to actually perform the task which I also came to them for aside from a lower monthly premium, and SADLY with a hasty quickness they wasted no time in disappointing in spectacular fashion...So Within the past 7 months, I've experienced two vehicle accidents that were not my fault, the first one way back in September when the other driver's insurance company accepted responsibility and my repairs were speedily completed on my automobile, and yet my adjuster when interviewing me about the incident Rudely gave me the impression...(EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE vibe you want to give your client even when you must remain impartial) that I was the individual at fault. I could not believe it, the thought that ran through my mind was WTH...was I hearing them right or was this a hallucination? ...but nope, I was not, this clown of an adjuster was actually making it sound like I was the party at fault. Now, like I said I try to give the benefit of the doubt that maybe it was a misunderstanding and, maybe it was a one-of... nah, that wouldn't happen again. But Dammit If I didn't have another incident that is currently under investigation and adjudication between insurance auditors. and true to form like this accusing and persecuting vibe is shining through like a HOLY AURA...aaaannnndd again that thought shot through my mind but this time like a bullet at breakneck speed, and the fine hairs on the back, of my neck stood up like ridged quills, in turn making my blood boil!!!!😡🤬 The thought ringing out in my mind "WTH is the matter with this dam company, are their adjusters just taught to be abrasive and just Duck;n rude...I had told my adjuster on the phone as they interviewed me about the incident, at least the last one supplied me with an email address that I could send in pics of my previous accident. I even texted a few days ago and no response, which tells me promptness isn't a high priority, but they sure do complain as they should if a payment is late or missed or delayed...Now as you read this, some may say that this is just an old lady complaining like they always do about if not something else irrelevant, to which I'd reply, it's all fun and games until you get the same treatment. So, I'm simply gonna chalk this up to a teachable moment...and summarily cut off this underperforming and highly disappointing service. Hell, I may even go over to the other insurance company that was used by the other driver from my September incident, at least they treated me with respect and caring consideration and I was the opposing party...Like, what the hell...I've been throwing my hard-earned money to be treated as such...I'm done, and so are you Esurance, especially after reading your latest and greatest of you MFR's raising my premium next month and my accident hasn't been resolved...Wayyyy to instill trust...So... I honestly hope that ALL PERSPECTIVE CLIENTS Catch this post...THEN think DAMN...nah, I'm good I don't need a lackluster company like that, there are waaaaayyyy better ones out there. With that, I'm done, I seriously can't wait to divest myself of your services.
They canceled my insurance Eventhough I had multiple emails that say I was covered until April when THEY decided to switch everyone to a new insurance carrier. Apparently they canceled my insurance and now because of a lapse in coverage for a month that I had no clue about I’mhaving my plate revoked and all these penalties. This was their fault! And now I’m having to pay for it. NEVER CHOSE ESURANCE
I have had the unfortunate experience to have this company as my auto insurance. It's because I am not in a position to make a double payment to start with another company I have no tickets, no accidents, I drive an average of 10k miles a year and garage my car and for full coverage they just raised me to 253 a month. They have me on a payment schedule to pay thr 31st of every month. I pay every 30 days but because it's not aligned to the day they tell me I have to pay it always gets paid late. Not canceled but late and for that they are charging me an extra $30 a month. I am an excellent driver who barely drives a garaged car and these people are ripping me off blind. Take it from me do not do business with this company, do not get locked into one of their policies. This is a cruel heartless company that doesn't care 1 bit for their customers and is so big if they lose customers they do not care. There are other insurance companies out there plus their nighttime customer service is a call center overseas who's phones have the worst connection so its impossible to hear them. The supervisors don't call you back like they are supposed to. I couldn't even imagine putting in a claim with this company. I am going to probably have to change companies tomorrow because they are ridiculously priced.
0/10 DONT recommend. They Really truly and honestly Don't Care. They will ghost you. Accuse you. Blame you if if you are not at fault. I waited on estimatre for 1 month for them to tell me I was denied because the driver of my car crashed. Even though I had FULL coverage. Comprehensive and Collision. They are rude. My adjuster Lois ignored me 2 weeks straight! Her manager Chris is an aszhole and blamed me for my brand new car getting in a wreck that I was not involved in. No empathy. My policy clearly states "No matter who is at fault" yeah right. I'm getting lawyers involved! They can kiss my ass. and my police randomly went up $60 for no reason. like what?
Consider my rating a -11.I purchased a new vehicle on December 8, 2022. It was stolen on June 6, 2023.By July 25, 2023 The Total Loss Claims adjuster gave me a final offer of $19.034.40. I at first said , NO. I just wanted my car back. Finally, the total loss claims adjuster explained that he needed to clear up this claim. I finally had no choice but to agree. But thank God,within 2 hours and 35 minutes of speaking with the Toal Loss Department from Esurance, my car was recovered, in good shape, by the police!!! All parties involved in my claim were immediately told that my car had been found, the Devonshire Division of the LAPD waited by my car, until I could get to the location of where my car was left. They also waited with me until we could get my car safely, back to my home. I was on the phone with Esurance, I spoke with John Kaufman Claims adjuster who was actually a fantastic, empathetic, knowledgeable, and a man who was so far superior in his knowledge in all things, claims, and property and casualty related, that he is the only shining light in that pathetic, mockery of an insurance company. I asked him and the Total Loss Adjuster if I can keep my car, since it appeared to be in mint condition, just dirty, and only had a few miles on it more than had been on before, so I am thinking "Joy Ride"? My almost brand new, fully paid off (I was so proud) car. had only been 4 months old and I had paid almost $22,0000 cash for it, and then proceeded to tint windows $400, have seats reupholstered, in black and white leather, which cost more than $2000.00 and I purchased a platinum extended warranty for $1800.00. I also had the carpeting recovered to match the seats and my car still had less than 55,000 miles on it. Which is why I did not want to take a $19034.40 dollars for my vehicle. So I ask them if I am able to keep my car. They said, Yes, since , obviously, The Total Loss Paper work had yet to begin, being prepared, since I had only , grudgingly, agreed to the final offer only 2 hours and 35 minutes, prior to this. So, they tell me okay, we all agree. A Win Win, They pay out Nothing, and I have my car back, in mint condition! I agree to take it as is. I am thrilled to have my vehicle. I never could have imagined what a nightmare my life was about to become. In the first week of December 2023, I went to the Van Nuys DMV to register my car for the very 1st time (as the dealership handled all paperwork at the time of purchase).Oddly enough, I felt the people looking at my paperwork were looking at me as if I was crazy or a criminal. They kept walking away, bringing over a supervisor, calling another supervisor. I was then told to come back the following day. This continues on and on with four different DMV locations, and nobody telling me what is going on here! Then they bring in DMV investigations after days and days and hours and hours of waiting and getting no answers. I'm simply trying to pay to register my car. Finally, they sit me down and explain to me that according to the DMV computers, verbatim, 'Your vehicle was deemed non-recoverable' and you have already been paid $19034.00 by the Esurance Total Loss Department. That's the reason you cannot register a car, that's never been recovered, Mrs Spangenberg.' As this was a total lie, I then called my claims adjuster again, at the DMV in Thousand Oaks, and I have two people who witnessed my total loss claims adjuster say to me, 'Now you are just making this up...' When told 'why did your company tell the DMV my car was non-recoverable and that your company paid me out $19034.00?' He called me a liar.I have been begging Esurance Ttal Loss adjusters to pleased make it right. They finally admitted that their vendor, Copart, made the mistake and transferred my title into the Esurance company name, on their own. They admit there was no payout. But they place blame for all other mistakes on a company called Copart. Thereby, accepting no responsibility, Esurance owns my car. They say they are unable to fix it. They have done all they can. But feel free to contact them with any further concerns. Wait, they stole my vehicle, own my vehicle. I am unable to register or drive my own vehicle. It has now been 7 months of back and forth, while I have NO CAR!. Last week, I finally realized, they have no clue what they are doing and they will never fix this. So I wrote an email to my Total Loss Adjuster telling him that it has been 7 months that I have been without a car, that them, or their representatives, illegally transferred ownership of my car to themselves. So, I said, "You own my car now, You cannot fix this, so pay me $19034.40 and come pick up car. They emailed me back. "We can not pay you for the car at this time. It is not even registered to you." I just about lost my mind. I must save up and pay a lawyer. But am without a car. I found out today, They deemed my vehicle a salvage.
