Terrible rental experience

We rented a vehicle that broke down, leaving us stranded. After managing to take it to a hotel, we contacted the 24-hour support line. We were told a tow truck would arrive, but nobody came. We drove to the rental location ourselves and were met with hostility from the representative and the manager. Overall, a very disappointing experience and we feel our money was wasted.

Avoid this service

We rented a vehicle that broke down, leaving us stranded. We managed to get it to a hotel and called the 24-hour support line. They assured us a tow truck would come to take us to the rental location in Portugal, but no one arrived. We ended up driving there ourselves, only to be yelled at by the representative and the manager for leaving. It's a very disappointing experience, and we feel like our money was wasted.

Not renting from this service again

I won't be using this service again, especially in Portugal. I completed my booking online and arrived early for pick-up. The representative was polite but something felt off. He assured me that the deposit would be refundable after returning the vehicle. However, after fulfilling the rental agreement, I received less than half of my deposit back, and they claim there's nothing they can do about it.

Very disappointing experience

Very disappointing. I felt pressured from the beginning to buy extra insurance or upgrades. What was particularly frustrating was being told I needed to pay for a transponder for tolls, only to find out the government had removed tolls entirely. I reached out to the office to request a removal of the extra charge, but I have been completely ignored. I've tried other rental services in the area and expected better from this one.

Misleading service

I reserved a Ford Focus ST Line but was given a Nissan Juke instead, which was described as a ‘higher group.’ This interpretation of upgrade was disappointing. Additionally, I was charged a toll deposit and only received a refund after following up two weeks later. With such service and misleading definitions, I will think twice before using this service again.

Steer clear of this rental service

We used this service at the airport from 14/10 to 28/10. If I could rate it zero, I would. When reviewing the rental agreement, I mentioned that we didn’t need a toll fob, but the clerk insisted it was mandatory. When returning the car, we were surprised to learn that we wouldn't be reimbursed for it. Additionally, we were charged over €900 for repairs after an accident, and they refuse to provide a detailed invoice for insurance purposes. This is unacceptable and feels like a scam. Stay away from this service!

Discriminatory practices

As Mexicans traveling in Portugal, we were shocked to learn that this service does not rent cars to Mexican drivers, claiming our licenses are difficult to read. Despite our licenses being in both Spanish and English, they refused service based on their policy. This is unacceptable and discriminatory. Shame on this service!

Unacceptable charges and poor service

I am writing this after trying to reach customer service for over a week about an invalid charge related to my rental. I've received no response, which is unacceptable. I purchased a premium protection package to ensure zero excess in case of damage, yet I was charged for damage fees that directly violate the policy I paid for. The claim is invalid since the agent waived the pre-rental inspection. I demand a reversal of these wrongful charges and a full refund of my deposit, but have had no luck.

Great experience at Faro Airport

After reading numerous negative reviews about car rentals in Portugal, I was apprehensive about picking up my vehicle. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the smooth, pressure-free experience at the rental desk. The car was exactly as booked, and the drop-off process was quick and easy. Overall, I had a great experience at this location.

Extremely dissatisfied

I would rate this service zero stars if I could. Upon arrival in Portugal with our booking and a small baby, we encountered someone who insisted that premium insurance was included in our reservation. Despite clarifying that we hadn’t paid for it, we were pressured into accepting it. Later, we were charged an additional €247 for four days. When we questioned this, we were shown paperwork in a language we didn’t understand. The company has been unhelpful since and refuses to refund us. Avoid at all costs.
