I was overseas and had to have an emergency operation. The most amazing response from this company. From the get go they were there to help and made everything smooth and less stressful. They were always on the front foot ahead of the situation so I did not have to concern myself with the details but on my operation and recovery. Not only did they consult with the doctors and hospitals but would check in on me and ask how I was doing and if I needed anything. They were always professional and helpful and made it feel as if I had someone in my corner as I was in a foreign country this was extremely comforting. They made the whole process of my incident to the operation, recovery and was there with me all along the way until I could safely return home. I would highly recommend this company for anyone who is looking to purchase travel insurance.

Fast Cover: a death in the family is not considered a full refund

Despite my claim being processed in a swift manner, I was dumbfounded by the settlement I received. For context, whilst holidaying in NZ I sadly received news that my father had passed away. I had to make my way back to Perth in a speedy manner to organise the funeral etc. all in all I was out of pocket about $2000 for the unfortunate experience. Fast forward a month, I had all my documents and receipts in order which I sent off. About a week later I received a settlement of $455. My excess was $200 and the cost for the insurance cover was $100. So Fast Cover paid $255 into my account. After the cost of the insurance I am left with $155. The following is what I received in a letter regarding the settlement: "As your father resides in a nursing home, he did not meet the criteria of the close relative condition. Therefore, the maximum amount we will pay is 25% of the claimed expenses."Let that sink in. Because of my fathers living conditions they refused to pay the full amount. Travel insurance is there to help people in situations which are out of their control. I would consider a parent passing away (despite their living conditions) a significant life event and one that is entirely out of ones control. Untimely is untimely and a persons worth is not based on whether they live at home or in a nursing home. I am utterly disgusted with Fast Cover's lack of moral compass and will be taking this matter up with consumer affairs.

Denied Cashback through Cashrewards

Was meant to receive a 10% cashback on a FastCover policy I bought for a trip earlier this year. Cashrewards notified me saying that the cashback was denied from the mercant itself being 'Fast Cover'. Have used Cashrewards for numerous cashback redemptions through multiple merchants and this was one of the first with all details provided, Fast Cover denied it.. "this store has declined to make any further cashback payments" What a way to suck people into purchasing policies with the claims to receive a % cashback but then deny the claims.

Easy to purchase but HARD to claim!

I have been buying travel insurance from Fast Cover for the past year, when I travelled to Europe, then Korea, then Singapore. The premiums were high but the buying process was seamless and easy. For convenience, I also helped purchase travel cover for my husband and my son. Travel insurance is essentially for peace of mind, because the best outcome is nothing bad happens and the insurance company makes money from the premiums you paid. Unfortunately for my son, while on his trip to the US, his laptop was stolen from the plane. It was a devastating loss, albeit it being an old laptop that he bought in 2020, as he is a university student who uses his computer extensively in every aspect of his life. One would think that at least Fast Cover would help in mitigating the financial loss, but no, they made it so hard for you to make the claim, my son has been dealt with another blow. No, the claim process was no way as easy as the purchase process. In fact, it was painful. Customer service was also unhelpful, as even calling to speak with the case officer took tremendous effort and time. You are treated like a criminal who is trying to scam the company of their money. You could afford to spend money on a month-long trip to the US, you could afford to pay high travel insurance premium, but when you try to make a claim for your stolen laptop, you are a cheat who’s desperate for money? That’s it, Fast Cover, you have lost a customer forever!

Travel Insurance - a necessary consideration

Travel Insurance is an expensive undertaking, particularly in the older age range. Assistance in lodging my application was helpful and willingly given. I would recommend considering Fast Cover Insurance as one plans their travel needs.

Do Not Take Out Travel Insurance with FastCover Travel Insurance, we only got 25% refund! Disgracefu

Do Not Go take Travel Insurance with Fastcover Insurance they only paid us 25% of our tickets when we cancelled due to illnessWorst Travel insurance Company! Email below is what I sent Fastcover Insurance after decision. The total amount they refunded was $957, our tickets cost a little over 4,000 total! We are out of pocket $3000. I took it further with Llloyds Insurance underwriters and they stuck with the Fastcover decision! Not even worth 1 StarI am very very distressed and upset that I am only going to receive a pittance of what we paid for the trip and this is not evenincluding the accommodation as yet. I saw on my policy that it covered up to $25,0000 for cancellations. I am not even claiminganywhere near that amount. We take out travel insurance in good faith to ensure our trip which took us a whole year to save up for that if anything unforseen happens we are covered. Typical bloody insurance company when people have said it's like getting blood out of a stone!!!!This is very upsetting especially for my sonwho has a disability. We still managed to save for our dream holiday to Srilanka to viisit our relatives and sightsee where we grew up. Shame on you FAST COVER for not giving us the full reimbursement. How absolutely disgusting that you have not even given us the refund for the airfares which were around $2000 each. How can you do this to customers. My claim was not even a huge amount. I did everything that was requested by me from Dalina including my mums medical notes from the doctor as well as the doctor filling out a form which I had to pay the doctor for completing the Form so I am outof pocket there as well. Submitted every single document that was required of me. You also failed to pay for the expenses eg purchase of suitcase and sim cards, presents with bought for relatives and the only other expense you paid tiny portion of our Visa for one person.I ask you to kindly look at our claim and have some sort of compassion and empathy for us. We were so looking forward to goingto Srilanka especially to see my dads only 2 sisters and cousins who are still living. I have not been back to Sri Lanka to visit relatives in 53 years (Since coming to Australia as a chidl) My dad passed away so it was even more special to want to catch up with his only living sisters. It was unfortunate that mum caught a virus and ended up having fluid in her lungs. My mum and her husband were fully refundedfor their expenses from whoever they were insured with so why can't you reimburse us for such a small amount !!!Destination: South-East Asia (e.g. Bali, Vietnam, Thailand)Claim Made: YesInvoice Number : CM10449 - FCL0474510Insurance Cover For: AdultClaim Resolution Time: 1-2 monthsType of Claim: MedicalClaim Date: December 2023Policy Number : CM10449

Awful

Awful! A disgrace! They are very good at selling their useless insurance; that's the only thing they are good at. After you purchased it, if you make a claim don't expect anything! They are very very slow, they ask endlessly for new proof and new documents and at the end, nothing anyway. We bought their full cover for a year of travel for $4500 to make sure we are 'safe'. Waste of money and waste of time trying to get anything from them. Never again!

Great value policy and customer service

The policy covered everything that I wanted for my family's trip to Japan, and the customer service team was very responsive in answering my call and my questions about their cover.
