While travelling in Turkey in June I lost my prescription sunglasses. I made a claim with Fast cover on my return. Because there is ‘depreciation, on sunglasses and with an excess payment of $100 they would not pay anything on my $300 claim. I have never made a claim on any travels before, so hugely disappointing. What if it was a major claim? I can’t trust them now and will never insure with them again.
My daughter broke her ankle in Italy and needed surgery. Fastcover were fantastic. They actually cared and rang to see how things were going and if we needed anything. In the end we flew back to Australia to have surgery. They allowed business class flights so my daughter can keep her leg up and also Business class for 1 carer. They were very clear and fair with the Claim that I put through and paid for Flights, lost accomodation, Taxi, Crutches and even medicine. They were Brilliant. Highly recommended.
I used this company for the first time (Fast Cover Travel Insurance) for a recent domestic trip. Within the first few hours of my arrival at my destination I was informed that a very close family friend of over 60 years had taken ill. When he came out of the hospital it was to go into palliative care. I was supposed to be in Darwin for two weeks but I flew home within two days as I couldn't get an earlier flight. My claim was for AUD $8,910-15 and they denied it. I will NEVER use this company again EVER. That money would have been a mere pittance for the company but for an Aged Pensioner it is a fortune. I do NOT RECOMMEND them.
