Review of Fast Cover Travel InsuranceI would strongly caution anyone considering Fast Cover Travel Insurance to read the fine print very carefully before purchasing a policy. My mother, aged 86 and in excellent health at the time I booked our holiday, became seriously ill and was later diagnosed with a terminal condition shortly before our planned departure. As her sole caregiver, my husband and I had no choice but to cancel our trip.Regrettably, Fast Cover declined to cover any of our cancellation expenses, resulting in a personal loss of $25,000. The response we received lacked empathy or understanding and instead reflected a rigid application of policy terms without consideration for our circumstances.Since then, I have learned that friends insured with 1Cover Travel Insurance faced similar situations but experienced no difficulty in having their claims approved.It is deeply disappointing that a company in the business of providing support during unforeseen and distressing times could demonstrate so little compassion. I sincerely hope Fast Cover reflects on how it handles claims from families dealing with terminal illness in the future.

Fast Cover were very easy to deal with …

Fast Cover were very easy to deal with when we madeca claim. We both became suck on a cruise and needed to go to the medical centre where we were given medication. Fast Cover accepted our claim very promptly and the funds were deposited into our account very quickly. Would deffinately use them again.

Great in an emergency

My daughter experienced a medical emergency whilst travelling overseas in Iceland. The response from Fastcover was first class. They were easily available on the phone to talk through the steps and emergency hospital expenses, surgery and overnight stays were organised and covered. Assistance and assessment of cover was organised fast and my daughter was able to get the surgery she needed without stressing about hospital fees.The caring, helpful nature of the staff was appreciated in this stressful time. They were available at all hours of the night and easy to get hold of, which was helpful due to the timezone differences we were trying to get everything sorted in. Will use again. Recommend.
