I paid $540 for a pair of boots from Fillies and Boots. After they arrived, the carrier demanded an additional $247.80 in duties and taxes, nearly 50 percent of the purchase price. This was not clearly disclosed prior to shipment and came as a complete surprise.
I order from international sellers regularly and have never been blindsided with a post delivery charge of this magnitude without clear warning or the option to refuse the package.
When I contacted the company, they refused to assist in reviewing or challenging the duty assessment and simply deferred to the carrier. There was no effort to advocate for their customer or offer any solution.
I cannot recommend Fillies and Boots. The pricing is not transparent, and customer support is of no help.

I have lipedema and lymphoedema, so off the shelf boots don’t fit me. Yes the boots F & B made were more expensive but they are worth every penny. They’re made to measure, comfortable and really nice to look at! Just remember to keep in mind there will be customs tax to pay. I paid £157 on top of the price of the boots.
I recently received my second pair of boots from Fillies and boots, already have a third pair I'm planning on, you simply can't get that level of craftsmanship anywhere else now days. I had a problem with my order and they solved it immediately, the absolute best customer service and unbelievable quality. couldn't be happier and can't wait to order my next pair.
I bought two pairs (Mora and Diana in Suede) more than 4 years ago, these are the most comfortable, high-end boots I've ever worn! This year I've ordered more pairs. And the first heeled boots of my collection. They are not only comfortable, but they age with almost no damages, I change the soles every year, and have them cleaned by a professional. I brush the suede regularly and put on protective spray. That's basically all the maintenance. The high-knee boots are high quality, made of good material, that fits perfectly, and that adapts quickly to the feet. I wear them for long city walks in Rome, events (long hours standing), or simply daily! If Cinderella had boots she's choose Fillies and Boots!
I have to say I was very skeptical about buying more boots, but in all honesty that is what I wear most of the year. I have bought Hermes, and Christian Louboutin boots, and never found them comfortable. I was totally excited when I stumbled across the Fillies, and Boots web site. The Customer Service is absolutely stellar, and so patient working with me to make sure I got everything right. The boots even shipped, and arrived a week earlier than I expected. I asked many questions, and never felt like I do so often on other web sites, or in stores from sales reps, pressured to make a decision. I immediately put the boots on, and ran out of the house to do holiday shopping, and cooking with my daughter. So I wore them the entire day and actually fell asleep with them on. I think that speaks for the boots themself when they are brand new, you can wear them the entire day while on your feet, and then sleep with them on. My feet never hurt. The leather is so soft, and the color matches my purse perfectly. I was buying for my capsule wardrobe, and these are bang on. So what did I do when I woke up, I ordered 2 more pairs of boots. The best part of this experience was the entire experience from my first contact to the product. It is so wonderful to have a pair of boots that actually fit
Fabulous custom made boots. Usually buying boots is a form of torture for me because they are always too big around the calf and far too short to count as knee boots. This wonderful company has changed all that! I could specify the exact height I needed and the correct calf width. The boots I received are truly gorgeous - soft leather, a sleek and elegant design with a concealed zip. Toes are not too pointed so that the boots are comfortable to walk in and the leg height actually reaches to just under my knees, it's so flattering instead of the usual mid calf height. I found the company so helpful, my questions were quickly answered and there was no problem making a colour I chose that wasn't shown as available in the style I wanted. They also came beautifully packaged. If you are taller than average, wider or more narrow than average or you just appreciate exquisite well fitting design - Fillies and Boots is the place to shop. Wonderful company!
I always have a hard time buying boots because I have high arches and wide calfs. These boots fit so well, they are roomy without looking huge (as many wide calf boots do) because they fit and they are custom. Great customer service as well.
