It seems the service has a poor attitude towards its customers, despite having friendly personnel. Here are three main issues that highlight this: Internet (1/2): The ship utilizes a mobile 5G antenna via satellite that activates automatically in international waters. If your phone has automatic network selection enabled, it will switch to this network, which may lead to significant charges from your provider without any prior warning. Internet (2/2): Charging €7 for an hour and €20 for 6 hours of subpar WiFi in 2025 is simply unacceptable. Meal options: While the buffet offers a decent variety, the scheduling is problematic. Breakfast and lunch are combined into a 'brunch' available for a very limited time (09:30-12:30), making it impossible to enjoy both a proper breakfast and lunch. Plus, with dinner at 18:30, many may feel pressured to opt for the costly cafeteria option. This is frustrating given the meal package's price. Additionally, if you plan on having a second dinner, be prepared to find the soda machines covered, as the service seems intent on maximizing profits. Cabins: Like the rest of the ferry, the cabins show their age. They are reasonably comfortable but do not meet modern standards, especially considering the price. Cleanliness was also an issue; during my outbound journey, I found my toilet uncleaned. For me, this will be a one-time experience, as I would not choose this service again, even if the alternative means a long drive through the Baltics or Sweden.
It seems that the company has a distinct lack of regard for its customers. While the staff is friendly, there are several major issues that highlight their attitude. Regarding internet access, the ship utilizes a satellite-based mobile 5G connection that automatically activates in international waters. If your phone has automatic network selection enabled, it may switch to this network, leading to unexpected charges from your provider. Additionally, charging €7 for an hour and €20 for six hours of subpar Wi-Fi in 2025 is excessive. As for meals, although the buffet has decent offerings, the combined breakfast and lunch period is poorly timed, making it nearly impossible to enjoy both. With breakfast starting too late and lunch closing early, many guests are left with no choice but to opt for the pricey cafeteria. Furthermore, the cabins, while reasonably comfortable, show their age and do not meet modern standards, especially considering the cost. Cleanliness is another concern, as I encountered an unclean toilet during my trip. This experience was disappointing enough that I won’t be returning, even if the alternative is a long drive.
During a nearly 10-hour ferry journey with the company, I was quite let down by the lack of facilities and the crew's behavior while traveling with my two children. I attempted to rest on a couch before a lengthy drive but was abruptly informed by the crew that sleeping there was prohibited. We were not provided with a cabin for the outbound trip, which left us without a proper resting place. This was exhausting for my family, and the crew's indifference was quite frustrating.
I took a ferry from one port to another and found it to be the best option for car travelers, despite the inconvenience of accessing the ports on foot. The cabin was comfortable, and the price was reasonable for a good night's sleep and transportation. There’s access to the deck, along with a variety of shops, food options, and entertainment available.
