Cannot Fault The Service Received For A Valued Client

Having recently completed a BTL mortgage with Fleet for one of my valued clients I genuinely cannot praise them enough. From initial discussions about the case through to submission and ultimately completion they have been excellent. Everything was done in a timely manner and the communication throughout the whole process was really good.Their office based BDM Lucy Freeman is absolutely superb, one of the best I've worked with in 22 years as a broker. A real credit to Fleet with her friendly, professional and efficient manner. I would also like to mention their underwriter Sara who was excellent. It was a pleasure working with Fleet and I look forward to progressing other cases with them in the future.

Shocking took 4.5 months to basically…

Shocking took 4.5 months to basically say they don’t lend on flat roofs! Why they couldn’t have said that from the get go! Wasted everybody’s time! Not acceptable! Shambolic and unscrupulous! You should be ashamed of yourselves!

Unscrupulous Sharks

Hi all. Based on the feedback, Clearly we are not happy with the service that we have been provided with. This is not like buying a pizza or a tv, this is buying a house! The most important thing and costliest thing that most people will ever commit to. I’m an entrepreneur, I have sold many businesses and own many properties. My name is Jamie Hughes and. In 36 years of business this is the worst company I’ve ever come across. Avoid and avoid

Grasping and shambolic -

Tried these guys through a broker - L and C .Myriad of questions sometimes duplicated, sometimes repeats Asked for the latest (repeat) copy of statements EVEN before its due date and kept requiring renewal but moved very slowly. . Seemed expensive but would cover the type of property I was interested in. In the end despaired and went elsewhere. A disgrace to their owner Starling Bank. Avoid if you possibly can

approach to conducting business is…

approach to conducting business is borderline fraudulent. they focus on getting application fees and other fees and mess you around for months then find any excuse not to provide a mortgage offer. i actually sued them to the county court, their business strategy is all about stealing application fees

Please stay away! Waste of time and money.

Please stay away! This is a pattern as per Google Reviews from others but unfortunately, I read the other reviews too late. After 3 months to process the file + a change of solicitor to be from their recommended list (c. GBP 2000) + GBP 199 on survey fees, they rejected the case after 3+ months due to the 'potential chance' of short-term lets raised by the underwriter. My property agent provided written evidence from the building management agency stating it was against the policy to do short-term lets as per the lease and regular communications with the residents but didn't help.

Hidden fees!

Hidden fees! Paid £6000 for a “No early repayment fee” mortgage. Now every payment over £500 costs £100 so can’t set up regular over payments. This is completely hidden deep in the contract. Have been trying to pay a £200k overpayment for 10 days now and they are SO slow and won’t give their bank details!!! This company sucks.

TERRIBLE mortgage company. AVOID at all costs or lose money and time

TERRIBLE mortgage company.I wouldn't even say lender because they clearly are not bothered about lending - just on time wasting.TOOK over 10 months of endless questions. After 5 months of back and forth we held on hoping we were going to get the deal completed. They then asked us to do some inconsequential work on the property costing us about £4500, all for a house worth £500,000. Make it make sense - a retention would have been more reasonable given this wasn't even 1% of the value of the property. On top of that an incredibly incompetent and expensive valuer from their panel who they chose @£1300. I am convinced they are making small change in their pocket off these valuations - criminal. At the 11th hour after 10 months of back and forth as the paperwork was sitting with the solicitor, they asked us for planning permission !!! something they could have asked for at the valuation stage of the process. Planning permission we did not have nor was it a requirement by the borough of the property's location. Absolutely crazy and incompetent people. AVOID AVOID AVOID. I wish I had checked out Trust Pilot before I agreed to go with this incompetent company recommended by a broker only interested on proposing a firm that has a competitive rate - because they lend to almost no one. Sickening that this company can be trading. All reviews on TrustPilot are negative, that tells you all you need to know.
