Beautiful Floors… That Put Holes in Every Pair of Socks 🧦

I spent over $10,000 total (materials + professional installation) on Flooret’s Lato Craftsman flooring in April 2025. It looks stunning — but within a few months of walking on it, my socks started developing holes. Not one or two pairs… every pair. The floor’s surface is unusually abrasive, destroying fabric during normal household use.I reported the issue to Flooret with photos. Their customer support was courteous but focused only on visible defects. Because the boards look fine to the eye, they refused to acknowledge the underlying functional defect — that the finish itself is too rough for ordinary residential use.Flooret offered 35 replacement boxes, but that doesn’t fix the core problem. I requested a refund under Washington’s Implied Warranty of Merchantability, which protects consumers when a product isn’t fit for its ordinary purpose. Flooring that shreds socks clearly isn’t.To Flooret’s credit, communication was polite and professional. But their resolution policy misses the real-world experience of customers. A product can look perfect yet perform terribly. If Flooret revises their warranty process to address functional performance — not just cosmetic inspection — they’d rebuild trust. Until then, I can’t recommend these floors to anyone who plans to actually walk on them.

Material great, customer service is not

While the material itself is great, the customer service once the product is delivered leaves lots to be desired. We ordered about 780 square feet and it was delivered on a semi by XPO. This is where the fun started. While the driver was attempting to unload our 2000lb pallet, it fell off of the lift gate onto the road in front of our house with the pallet jack leaning on the back of the stack. The pallet itself busted, the driver apologized, took a few pictures and left us with a busted pallet and lots of boards to move inside. I called Flooret right then and asked what to do. They said let them know what was damaged and they’d replace what we needed to finish our project. I sent multiple pictures of the busted pallet, and the damaged freight stack. I told them there was no way I could open all the boxes and inspect for damage as I didn’t have the space. They said ok, you have two months. No problem. As we prepared to start laying the floor and noticed that while most of the boards were useable, the edge that struck the ground was warped or broken on 1-2 boards per box. No sweat, we changed the layout of the floor so we could maximize those damaged as end boards and we continue with our project. As we were coming to the halfway point, I sent an email saying that we weren’t going to have enough and I’d give them a more exact number of replacements we’d need in a few days. We went back and forth with the emails and now Flooret is stating that since the shipping company didn’t note the exact number of boxes damaged (spoiler alert, it was almost all of them), they’d have a hard time filing a claim. They also want pictures of the full, unused damaged boards before they’ll issue any kind of replacement. We spent $4000, hours of time rearranging our floor layout and inspecting for damage. We need 3 boxes worth of replacement ($330) to adequately finish our project and it looks like that will not happen. TLDR, product is good, company is not.

Flooret makes an extremely good product…

Flooret makes an extremely good product that holds up well. Their customer support staff is excellent. When I placed my most recent order, the staff caught an error I had made and promptly contacted me with suggested changes to correct the problem. When my project was completed, I had excess material to return and the support specialist was very helpful during the whole process. The only suggestions I have for Flooret is that they make their return policies more visible during the ordering process and that their shipping instructions clearly state that the Flooret provided pallets are the preferred pallet for the return of unused and unopened boxes.

10/10 experience and quality

From purchasing to returning unused material am so glad we went with flooret for our flooring for our Barndo. We went with the Modin Nakan signature without seeing it in person and seriously could not be happier with the results. It’s gorgeous! The floor has a bit of a texture to it and with 2 dogs one that’s almost 12 love that they don’t slip and slide like traditional lvp. 10/10 experience and quality of materials.

Flooring Scrutinizing

I scrutinized over flooring for months before we found Flooret. We ordered several samples of the light and medium wood tones before settling on Soho base. We used it throughout the entirety of our new construction home. We've only been moved in for about two weeks but so far we love it! It reflects our natural light well, making the space feel bigger and brighter. It seems very durable and cleans easily. It doesn't look fake like other luxury vinyl planking, and repeating patterns are hard to spot. Highly recommend!

I heard of Flooret through a flooring…

I heard of Flooret through a flooring guy on YouTube, and decided to go with them, and I am seriously happy I did. I initially ordered samples to decide what to go with. Their website is great and easy to use. A staff member reached out to me and gave me a quote with a discount for the product I chose. Overall great service.

Flooret Review

DecidingMy wife and I were finishing our 700 sq ft basement and needed flooring for the concrete floor. Flooret made deciding on a style and color easy. Their staff were available for phone questions without any wait and they responded to emails promptly. We ordered some samples to compare to samples from other stores and they arrived quickly and it was an easy process overall.PurchasingWhen my wife and I decided on the flooring we wanted, we were prepared to buy it online. However, I had some last minute questions so I called in and the representative told us he would be happy to take our order over the phone. He also asked if we would like to participate in this review program where we would need to give them before-and-after photos and give them a review after the installation was complete, and in return he would give us free shipping on our order, saving us $200. I was happy to agree to this. ReceivingWe ordered our flooring months ahead of our planned installation time frame. It arrived in October of 2024 and we had an installer scheduled for February of 2025. The delivery process was smooth. Our flooring came on a pallet wrapped up in plastic. The freight delivery operator used a forklift to place the pallet into our garage. There was some small trouble with the forklift getting enough traction to get over the berm of the garage floor from the driveway but after a few attempts it was fine. I unwrapped the pallet and manually moved the boxes to the basement of our house for acclimatization. This was difficult and time consuming but there was no way for the forklift to have gone down to our basement doors in the back yard. Once it was empty, I noticed that the pallet was partially broken and not useful for reuse. Because of this, I took it apart with hand tools and put it in the trash.PreparationWhen we hired our installer, it was on the recommendation of local installers from Flooret. He told us when he first visited our house that our basement concrete floor was quite "wavy" and needed significant levelling before the flooring could be installed. He used a variety of industrial grade concrete planing and grinding machines in addition to self leveler material to being our floor into spec. This took about two full weeks of work, and is entirely because of the state of our concrete floor.InstallationWith the concrete finally in spec, the actual laying of planks went from beginning to end in about 2 work days. Our installer told us there was no trouble with this process. We were very happy with the results.ReturnWhen we made our purchase, both Flooret and our installer recommended we buy extra flooring and trim in case of errors during installation. Because of this, we wound up with 8 boxes of unopened flooring and 3 pieces of trim to return. I contacted Flooret to make a return whereupon I learned that they would give us a full refund but since we were returning more than 3 boxes of flooring that we would need to prepare and pay for return freight shipping. This meant finding a pallet that could accommodate the flooring boxes, which are larger than a standard pallet. I began looking on the local craigslist for pallets in my area. It also meant we would have to purchase a return kit from Flooret for $25 containing rachet straps and plastic wrap to prepare the shipment to their specifications. Luckily, my wife was contacted by a neighbor who wanted to buy 7 of the 8 boxes of flooring we had, and we sold it to them for a discount. With only one box of flooring to return, Flooret gave us a new return quote for parcel shipping, so I didn't need to find a pallet anymore. We still had to pay for the parcel shipping but it would come out of the return amount. I also had to find bubble wrap and piece together large, long cardboard boxes for the returns. This took a lot of doing and duct tape, but we were able to drop the flooring and trim returns off at a Fedex Office location easily. In all, we lost about 25% of the purchase price trying to offload or return our excess materials. The return process is the only negative part of our interaction with Flooret. I know that their return information is posted on their website, but I do not think this process is made clear enough during the purchasing process. If I had known I might need to reuse the pallet they shipped the materials on, then I would have tried to repair it rather than dismantling it. But I don't think "pallet repair" should be a necessary skill when making a purchase like this. Contrast this with buying from a local big box home center where we could have taken our returns back no problem in a single trip to town and gotten full price.OverallDespite the onerous return process, I think that Flooret was a good choice for our project and the benefits outweighed the drawbacks. We are very happy with the floor we have now.

I highly recommend Flooret for both the quality of the product and their outstanding support. We've installed Flooret Modin LVP in 2 rooms. Beautiful stuff. We were able to easily install it on our own having never laid flooring before. I think it's the most realistic wood look LVP I've ever seen. We've received many compliments. Both the sales team and support teams are excellent
