This airline is among the least responsive! My flight from Singapore to Jakarta TR276 was delayed twice while we were already boarded, and it was freezing cold in the cabin! They only offered blankets for sale! Boarding could have been postponed initially. Additionally, this flight was oversold, making check-in at the airport this morning quite a struggle!
We opted for Scoot mainly due to convenient flight times, believing it would be a practical choice for the short journey between Bangkok and Singapore. The priority seats, designed to resemble business-class comfort, were indeed comfortable with decent legroom, making the two-hour trip bearable. Unfortunately, the service fell short and was quite disappointing. The cabin crew appeared unfriendly, lacking any smiles during the flight, especially noticeable after flying recently with another airline known for its warmth and hospitality. The quality of the onboard food was lacking and not very enjoyable. Additionally, cold drinks were served at room temperature, and the absence of alcohol was surprising for a budget airline. In summary, while Scoot may be suitable if timing and comfort are your only priorities, the poor service and inadequate food options make it an airline I wouldn't be eager to choose again.
I have used Scoot 4 times. They are cheap and cheerful and handy to use around SE Asia. Three were local flights and all late. The 12hr basic no frills flight from Singapore to Vienna was on time and all good. Scoot have found a nice in the market with their Europe routes and I hope to use them again
I want to give a special mention to the flight attendant, Wei Ping, for his kindness and attentive service. He was always very attentive to the crew, paying close attention to each passenger, and was very respectful in his communication and patient in explaining things.
Our Scoot flight TR617 (Bangkok → Singapore) on 27 Oct 2025 was cancelled due to “technical faults.”That night at Gate E2A, Scoot’s ground staff asked which alternate flight I preferred. I chose Singapore Airlines SQ713 (8 pm) and they scribbled it on a deposit slip while collecting our passports, saying they would arrange the rebooking. They never did. When we returned to the airport the next day (28 Oct), the Scoot counter was in complete disarray — hundreds stranded, no information, no confirmed bookings. At 6:15 pm, after waiting an entire day with zero progress, I paid for my own Singapore Airlines tickets on SQ719 (9:10 pm) just to get home.Yet the official Scoot cancellation letter dated 5 Nov 2025 claims:“You have been re-accommodated to Singapore Airlines flight SQ713 on 28 October 2025.”That statement is factually false and misleading. Scoot neither re-accommodated nor paid for our replacement flight. They provided no assistance. To add insult, a staff member photographed my new SQ719 boarding pass — which I allowed in good faith — but if that image was later used as “proof” that Scoot had arranged our return, it would be grossly unethical. For an airline under the Singapore Airlines Group, this experience was disgraceful. A technical fault can happen, but falsifying the facts and abandoning passengers cannot be excused.
Scoot charging you for breathing on their flights, literally. Charging phone-10$( and you not allowed to use your power bank) , taking away all water you buy in duty free so you pay 6$ for tap water!!!!! shitty sandwich for 12$… surprised the toilet is free( YET) for 11 hours flight!!!!! Its a scam. Never ever again!!!!!!
Scoot Airlines – Dishonest, Greedy & Completely Unethical ⚠️One of the worst airline experiences I’ve ever had.I booked a round-trip from Perth to Visakhapatnam, departing 31st Dec 2025 and returning 2nd Feb 2026, for $1,060. Later, I wanted to change the departure to 3rd Jan 2026. Before changing, I checked Scoot’s site — the fare for that day showed $401.20.But when I submitted the change, Scoot suddenly showed the fare as $660 for the exact same flight — a $260 price hike, plus change fees. I was forced to pay $371 extra in total. This is nothing short of daylight robbery. They know you're stuck and take advantage. If I hadn’t checked the price beforehand, I wouldn’t have known they were manipulating the fare during the change.Scoot’s pricing is deceptive, their system is built to exploit, and their values are non-existent. No transparency. No ethics. Just pure corporate greed.🚫 Never flying with Scoot again.Avoid this airline if you don’t want to be scammed.
I booked with Scoot in good faith, but when a genuine medical emergency forced me to cancel, they turned the refund process into a nightmare. Despite their policy covering immediate family medical issues, they repeatedly rejected my documentation, each time inventing new hurdles and wasting both my time and my doctor’s time.I ultimately provided a proper medical certificate that clearly stated my mother’s condition, her inability to travel, and that she was unfit since before my scheduled flight. Still, Scoot refused to process a refund promptly. Instead of showing compassion or efficiency, they dragged out the process with bureaucratic excuses clearly designed to make customers give up.This experience has convinced me never to fly Scoot again. If you value fair treatment and reliability in difficult situations, look elsewhere. Scoot hides behind policies and technicalities rather than supporting its customers when they need it most.
