Review Time
I attempted to make a reservation online. I received a message that the site was having technical difficulties. I did not get a confirmation number but I saw a pending charge on my credit card. I called the Funjet number and the agent checked to see if I had a reservation. He said since I never received a confirmation number, the reservation was not made. He attempted to make the reservation on his end but he got the same message. After checking with his “support team” he said the site was not accepting reservations because the flight may be booked. He assured me my card would not be charged. He said he would call me the next day if something opened up but he never called. I booked my trip with AMR which is another company owned by AGL. I checked me credit card a couple of days later and Funjet did charge my card even though I never received a confirmation number and the agent telling me it would not be charged. I was on the phone for over 4 hours today with an agent who was giving me the run around about talking with her “support team.” I finally had to hang up but she said she would call or email me. I still have not heard from her. I am going to ask my credit card company to dispute the charge. I am guessing the next step is the BBB since I have no other contact numbers.Updated- I reached out to Funjet when they responded to my Trust Pilot review with an email. They refunded all of my money and I am happy with the resolution. My advice would be not to bother calling their customer service line and email them directly. I spent 4 hours on the phone with the customer service agent and she had no intention of helping me.
I will never use them again. We booked a group vacation (10 of us). We was suppose to get double beds, as I was sharing a room with another female. They put us in a room with a king size bed and a damn pullout sofa. All the money I paid I shouldn't have had to sleep in the same bed with someone nor sleep on a damn pullout sofa. Their dumbass reply was we aren't guaranteed double beds. What kind of crap is that. We should be guaranteed what we booked after paying OUR money. It was suppose to be a kid free resort, it was so many damn kids I thought I was at an elementary school. I requested some money back, they talking bout $100 credit. THATS BULL...I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN
Please do not book with this company! I've never heard of this company and the travel agent I used to book my trip was referred to me! American Airlines cancelled my trip on 5/20/20 and I was told I would receive a refund within 60 days! When I reached out to the travel agent she's now telling me it could be 90 days before I receive my money back! This is a horrible company! Run don't book! I'm disgusted! I want my money back Funjet!!!!!
We booked through Funjet in August 2017 for a destination wedding as a guest. I ended up not being able to travel due to high risk pregnancy reasons and submitted a doctor's note. Funjet told me the hotel refunded the money through them so when I'm ready I just need to book with them by March 31 2018. Contacted them in March and basically told me they never charged me. WRONG - I showed them my bank statement and basically they were like we don't know what to tell you and pretty much dodged our phone calls/emails. The agent's name is Howard Kunzinger (avoid this guy!) I'm basically out over 1K because they are unorganized and not helpful. So they basically got to keep the hotel refund and I am SOL
I had the worst experience with Jessica herron she never went over anything about booking the trip just basically called for my credit card info I had to cancel my trip and she said she would process a refund the money didn't even reflect the correct refund amount she is literally the WORST and this company is just awful I would stay away at all cost
Won't be using FunJet again after our experience with them.
Booked a monday to monday trip to Cozumel and paid the full balance 6 months in advance.
I always like to monitor prices to see when they fluctuate and by how much, so 2 months after booking, I'm checking prices for our dates. My search keeps coming up with "these dates unavailable", or something to that effect. I thought this was strange, so I went to the airline webiste, only to find out they no longer served Cozumel on mondays-a change they had made 6 weeks earlier.
So I call FunJet about it, only to be told we'll have to pay a fee to the airline, and to FunJet in order to change our trip to Tuesday to Tuesday. They did waive the fees after much discussion.
It then took another 2 months to get our actual confirmed itinerary, less than 3 weeks before our trip. All we had was the agent's word that we had reservations. When we finally got the confirmation, the charges were completely wrong. To top it all off, none of our seats were together on any leg of the flights.
The amount of time spent on the phone with them through the whole ordeal should be an embarassment to them. We won't be using them again.
