Review Time
We ordered a fireplace mantle, lead time stated 5-7 days, arrived 2 weeks from order, damaged, immediately emailed with pictures, and followed up with phone call, return of damaged mantle and replacement organised, was told it would be priority, 2 weeks later I rang to enquire regarding delivery of the second one , was told I hadn’t submitted the online form for return and replacement , this I had done within 5 minutes of the first mantle being delivered and discovering the damage, then was informed I would get this next day, it did arrive next day, but once again it was damaged.
Again arrangements made to have returned and refund.
Now, in between the many calls and emails that I had submitted there was very little in terms of customer service , every part of the process had to be led my myself, if I hadn’t rung several times I would not have got any results, emails are hardly picked up and responded to, was told repeatedly “we making our way through emails”
We love to support small businesses , we run a small business ourselves, and communication has to be priority, sadly communication is lacking from funky chunky.
Apology was given but didn’t feel genuine, I felt in the end ‘I was the annoying customer’
All in all 4 weeks wasted with workman on standby to fit the mantle and Electrition for the soundbar that was to sit on the mantle. And we at stage one again sourcing an oak mantle.
I ordered a mantel which still hasn't arrived. I placed the order on the 21st January. As nothing arrived within the timeframe shown on their website I attempted to make contact which is virtually impossible. There is no phone number on their website. There is a chatbot that gives out bog standard replies. It says their customer services is open 9-5 but I've never been able to get speak with a human or had an email that wasn't a fob off. I was told they were really busy and had hired more people to help process orders. This meant orders were delayed for 3 days. This revised timeframe has also now passed. Finally I had an update telling me my order had been dispatched and that DX would be delivering it. This was on Friday morning but DX didn't actually get the parcel until Monday so I think they are not being 100% accurate when using the term "dispatched". Yesterday I had a message from DX saying that the item would be delivered today (3rd February) but as of now (5.39pm) still no sign of it. I wont be buying anything else from them and would advise others to avoid.
The products are of excellent quality, and the online ordering process is straightforward. The customer service was exceptional; my TV unit arrived just in time for the holidays, and I have now placed an order for a console table.
I ordered two shelves of 900mm length with brackets and two shelves of 400mm length with brackets. However, only one of each size arrived, and they had holes for floating brackets, which were not what I requested. I was told that all shelves come with holes, but my order indicated otherwise, as some had holes while others did not. My previous orders of eight shelves also arrived without holes, making this information inaccurate. I suggested an easy solution of sending me two new shelves without holes in exchange for the ones I received, but the service team insisted my order was correct. Consequently, I will not be placing any future orders, despite having previously spent around £2k on furniture.
I ordered 2 shelves 900mm long with brackets and 2 shelves 400mm long with brackets. 1 of each shelf size arrived with holes for a floating bracket. The bracket type i ordered are not floating so did not need holes in the shelves.I was informed they all come with holes but my ordered showed this incorrect as some did and some didn't have holes. All my previous orders of 8 shelves also did not have holes so this info was incorrect. This would be easy to sort by simply sending me 2 new shelves without holes and I return these 2 with holes but Funky Chunky would not do this saying my order was correct.This means I will never order from them again having previously spent about £2k on furniture.
My mantel beam came with a chunk missing and two other parts where it had been damaged.I have contacted customer service, sent photos, tried to chat online as no phone number and have had a response say glad we helped. Very disappointed as I had read good reviews. Don't buy from this company, they don't care once they've had your money.
The item was recieved well packaged, and of great quality. All fixings supplied with easy instructions. Unfortunately our wall was a " Dib dab" ..plasterboard over a frame on the wall.After investing in dib dab fixings from the hardware store...the item was up in less than 10mins.Lovely,recommended..happy wife ,and I no expert DIYer.
I ordered a bracket after querying that it would fit as the sizing didn’t seem quite right. I was told yes it fits despite the description. It arrived and doesn’t fit. I’m told to send back at my expense which doesn’t seem fair. I was given incorrect advise. Now they are ignoring me.
Items faulty sent e mail pictures as requested theee hours after delivery as stated to do now no one responding Hopefully they will soon then I might change this review You have replied matter sorted you didn’t reply straight away and the courier yiu arranged seem a to have lost it so I’m awaiting you chasing it up
