We ordered 2 LIVE lobsters for our 37th wedding anniversary. The package arrived and when opened both lobsters were DOA. In 1 1/2 hour emailed this company with pictures. They didn't like the pictures and we resent new photos. They will not honor their guarantee. Their customer service is disgusting. We paid $149.00 for DEAD lobsters. DO NOT order anything from this scam company.
They never ever had a problem with their shipments in 10 years.though they encourage you to pay 5.25 dollars for safe live lobsters just in case. I will never buy anything from this company, I hope nobody else will. $175 plus down the toilet.
Do not order from this company, the lobsters are neither sweet nor succulent. They tasted mucky, old and were so dirty. I doubt they get their lobsters from Maine. I had better lobsters from my local grocery store.I spoke to Mark about my order but he was so delusional about my concerns and didn't want to hear it. He tried to blame me for ordering online and stated this is what happens when you order seafood online, "you'll get bad seafood".It's ok Mark, I will never order from your company AGAIN. I should have read the reviews before ordering from here. My fault for wasting $253 on this company.
Very disappointed, 2 tails seemed a bit off.. 4 Woopee pies were in the bottom of the box and crushed. The lobster bisque had NO, Zero lobster in it.. Unlike other companies that are loaded with lobster.. Every recipe I looked at called for lobster meat. They wanted me to return the bad tails, said the lobster bisque traditionally doesn't contain lobster meat, but at 14.95 for a pint of "Lobster Bisque" with no lobster meat ?? And no return and No meat?? they said we could still eat the pies even if they are crushed and broken open. They refused to refund anything or compromise.
Do not order from this place it a scam .I place a order for dec 12 ,2020 never came in .the order got lost and I been tracking everyday said coming tomorrow after tomorrow so I write a email to them and they email me w answer said will give you another order for half price I was very happy about it ,but is on top of what you pay $349 .I ask for refund no refund..bad business..
The worst tasting lobster I have ever experienced. Order arrived and everything was frozen but most of the order was missing. We cooked up the very small supposedly 4lb lobster tails. No where near that. Tasted like very old and very salty. Maybe preserved in extra salt. Absolutely horrible. Called Moe Beaudry of Maine lobster and was pretty much told he didn’t care. But he would knock %10 off next order. Total waste of money.
My lobster was delivered to the side of the road, and left in the direct sunlight when it was 90 degrees outside. Contrary to what their website claims, they do not text you notices for delivery updates. The delivery person left the package (marked "Perishable") at the street, instead of driving it up a short driveway to the house where we had been waiting all day. The only notification I received was two hours after the package was left in the sun. I emailed the company in an attempted to resolve the situation, and their response was basically "not our problem." What a waste of $200. There are many lobster merchants. I will never order from GetMaineLobster again.
We ordered 3 pound lobster and cooked them the day they arrived. The service was great. The price was ludicrous $350 for 2 three pound lobster but it was the taste that ruined it. Apparently, Black Point Seafood keeps their live lobsters in Backbay while they await buyers. The lobster tasted like muck - both of them. The tamale was inedible. The rest was just muddy tasting. Lobster takes on the flavor of their environment. They really need clean, cold water. Black Point lobsters do not get it. I won't order from GetMaineLobster.com again and recommend that no one else does.
