Ordered lobster tails for a New Years Eve party and they were delivered to the wrong address!The company was extremely rude and unwilling to help! I'd encourage other customers to find a better company who values and serves their customers needs, to do business with!!
Order came on time, as advertised. The rolls were outrageously good- VERY on point and traditional. Lobster was frozen and wonderful- do take the added time to let the lobster meat drain out the excess moisture from the freezing process. Awesome Company!
do not order from this co.beware their quality control stinks,imagine sending expired product{butter) and their answer to my complaint we will check into that also they packed my order with heavy ice packs which crushed the crab cakes,would not rectify i need to take pictures ok if you have a smart phone,i am a senior citizen and not looking to pull a fast one.
I ordered 2lbs of cooked lobster meat, immediately stored in the freezer. 2 months later, thawed it, was yellow/green, spoiled meat. Wasn't packed as should have been. Had to throw out, Mainelobster would NOT refund my money, almost $200.00, got conflicting messages from Customer support, ruined my Christmas dinner. Offering me no support. No refund. Do not order from here!!
I grew up in CT so I know what good lobster is supposed to be. The stinky, mushy mess I was left with after thawing out the lobster meat was awful and SO disappointing!I followed the thaw directions very carefully... Maybe they send the lobster to some 3rd world country to have it processed/frozen? I don't know. If you're from the midwest and don't know what lobster is supposed to taste like, maybe you would be OK with this. For me? Yeecchh! Pure garbage!
Received my order for (4) 5-6oz and (4) free lobster tails. After defrosting 2 to cook, they looks small. Weighed them and both were under 5oz. Plus they had a lot of gunk had to clean them out. The taste was bland and NOT sweet at all. Called customer service and this was their response. I sent pictures of the under weight tails on my scale.They want me to cook the remaining 6 tails. I'm one person it will take me a while to try the rest. CS rep also said I could get a coupon or credit or something, I'll never order from them again. So it sounds like I won't be getting I my 175.00 back. They are a bait and switch company. Do not order from them. You've been warned.Thank you, Marianne, for the pictures. An absolutely disgraceful company with horrific customer service. They claim that if you are not satisfied, to contact them. Well, I contacted them to let them know that the lobster they shipped me was spoiled and inedible. They blamed ME for their awful product and told me to pound sand. BUYER BEWARE.
stupidly ordered from here three times, but never again. all lobsters and tails arrived fine and on time, but were much smaller than as advertised. order one, i didn't check weight on the 1.1-1.2lb lobsters, because why would i? they're selling a luxury product at a good, not cheap, price. second shipment i noticed that the most of "5-6 oz." tails i ordered looked more like the 3oz ones i can get at a local grocer OUT HERE IN THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA DESERT CITIES, and on weighing them on two scales were under 5 oz. (smallest was 4.45 oz), and didn't even average above 5 oz. for the 8 of them. thought, "okay... maybe it was a fluke". raised the issue with "customer service" which is actually just Zendesk (read "no customer service at all"), and was told "We apologize for any discrepancies. Please do so in weighing the live lobsters as well as the tails and let us know with a picture if there are any issues and we'll certainly look to help." LOOK TO HELP. that's "customer service". third shipment order placed at the same time as order two for later delivery was 8 more 1.1-1.2 live lobsters which arrived nicely, but only 1 lobster (largest) was 1.15lb and the smallest was just 14 ounces. again, 8 lobsters didn't even average the bottom weight of 1.1. on reading more reviews, it's clear these folks are shorting customers on a daily basis, and want the customer to prove that what they shipped isn't what they ordered, and they KNOW IT TO BE SO. read more reviews to see how consistent they are about shorting their customers. the sheer volume of customers posting here proves it's no fluke. there's good reason getmainelobster.com is rated so badly... wish i'd checked before buying. you should. i'll gladly pay more elsewhere.
Stay away. Don’t waste your money!! Buy 4 large get 4 free for over $200. 2 of the 8 were large.. one had green gunk through it: 5 were no larger than 4 ounces instead of 6 to 8. Bait and switch. Had to go out and buy for a holiday dinner party. Costco. I should not have had to spend another 200 to stave off embarrassment. Trouble is, I also ordered as a shipped gift. Probably the same nonsense. Sooo embarrassing and not cheap. I was happy customer last year. Never again.
