I feel scammed.
Event though my purchase was genuine and the products arrived well, there was a hidden subscription fee free trial that you cannot back out of and that does not provide a warning before it charges you 35EUR a month, with no ability to refund. I believe this is against the EU customer protection policy but the company just gets back with you saying it's not eligible for a refund but you have access to some BS community online that you never signed up for.
I'm very upset at the way they hide this charge and the way they handle refund requests. I don't believe it's the right way to do business and will find as many ways possible to warn other people from being scammed by them,
Same as previous comments. I purchased a book, it never arrived. I was also enrolled in a free trial that is deep hidden into the small T&C... I'm now 3 paid orders now, with no product in my hand!!! And no refund yet. Refund in progress 🤞
Be extremely careful. Buying a book automatically enrolled me into a “free” trial that quietly converted into a paid subscription. There was no clear reminder or meaningful warning before I was charged. When I contacted support, they refused a refund and hid behind their Terms of Service instead of addressing whether the subscription consent was genuinely informed. This feels like a deliberate dark pattern, not a transparent business practice. I would not trust this company.
I made a one-time purchase and was later charged again without knowingly signing up for any subscription. There was no clear disclosure during checkout. After reading other reviews, it’s clear this is happening to many customers. Very misleading and feels scammy. What’s even more concerning: the website I originally ordered from no longer exists under the same name (Collective Books / Your Legacy), yet charges are still being processed.Be very cautious!!! Avoid at all costs!

The company sneaks in a subscription that you get charged a month after purchase. I was unable to even “log in” to review my order or figure out why I got charged. I finally found an email to question this. At which point they sent me a link that I could log into. Yet the refused to refund this subscription fee. They won’t return my emails anymore. And the company doesn’t have a phone number to contact them. Scheme for sure! Can’t review on their site either. Awful company!
Okay, I really wanted to give this company the benefit of the doubt but in my opinion it looks like they’re intentionally scammy. With so many other reviews listing the same experience I had on their previous Trustpilot page + the company name change now that they have so many bad reviews? Yeaaaahhhh….They used to go by the name of Collective Books Co, and when I ordered from them in November 2025 I was at first happy with my purchase. But in late December 2025, I received a $34.99 charge for a subscription service I had not signed up for. The company claimed I had been given access to a free trial and was automatically charged after my 30 days were up, BUT:(1) This “free trial” was not made clear anywhere during the ordering process. Typically, a person has to actually activate a free trial before getting added to it, which I definitely never did. And even more suspiciously,(2) The surprise charge showed up 35 days after my initial order, not 30 like they claimed. I was able to get my money back, thankfully. I think it was a combination of me placing a dispute with my credit card company and leaving a negative review on their previous Trustpilot page referencing the dispute, as they gave me the refund shortly after. If you feel you’ve been scammed similarly, hopefully this method can work for you, too!
