This Company has THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TERRIBLE QUALITY PRODUCT! Omar, Glenys, Jennifer and all the other people that work for this company DO NOT CARE! They sent the wrong hardware 3 different times and really didn't care about me or my clients or my order at all! Finally after 4 months of going back and forth we received the right rail system and were able to complete the project. Also, I ordered the sliding doors WITHOUT hardware/handles and they sent WITH handles already cut into them. We were so fed up with them we didn't ask for replacements because of the many months that had already gone by. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! REALLY RUDE and terrible service by the above mentioned people. Did I mention TERRIBLE SERVICE!! and TERRIBLE PRODUCT!!
Just received and had our glass barn door from Otto & Sohn installed today. Great experience overall. The door looks and works great. Omar was very helpful with questions regarding installation . The video from YouTube that he provided was of great assistance to our contractor. Definitely recommending Otto & Sohn.
I ordered a glass door in the Spring and received it in unbroken condition in a timely manner. The appearance and quality of the glass was great. Unfortunately my contractor was very off on his estimate and the door wasn't installed until Dec. 2023. The quality of the hanging hardware is almost as good HOWEVER we found that two of four necessary bolts for hanging the door were the wrong size (14mm instead of 13mm) -- no one noticed this on visual inspection as the eye cannot readily discern between 13 and 14. I contacted Otto & Sons because the door could not be installed without these custom bolts. And, as requested I followed up with an email and photos. They NEVER responded despite assuring me that they would get back to me in a day.The other thing I'd say about glass-door.us is that their 3-day period during which one can inspect the door for defects is way, way too short. I cannot recommend this company because of this limitation. No one is likely to install a delivered glass door that quickly!We were lucky … but you may not be as lucky.
It was a horrible experience. I bought a double-door barn door, which arrived late after I followed up multiple times with customer service to check the delivery status. Once the door arrived, the hardware was missing, so my installer could not install the door. I still had to pay the installer for the whole day, given that it was not the installer's fault. After calling multiple times and speaking with multiple people, the hardware order was processed. Finally, we received everything to find out that two of the four-door strips were misaligned and were not together when the two doors connected. I called customer service, explained my situation, and shared all the pictures. After multiple communications, customer service told me it was an installation problem and there was nothing they could do. When I tried to explain to them that it was an installation problem when two were already there and two were not, After multiple conversations and sharing additional pictures, the customer service agreed that it was not an installation but something wrong with the door, but they told me they could not do anything because I did not call within 3 days of door delivery. I tried to explain to them that, given that the hardware was not delivered, I cannot install it and will inform you within 3 days. The customer service person said she could not do anything as her supervisor had advised them to say that. When requested to transfer to the supervisor, they kept on telling me that they were busy and that someone would call me. Never received any callback A very bad service, and I was stuck with the door and spent up to double the money for the installation. Total scam company, if possible stay away from them.
My shower door, etched with a vine design, is beautiful, a one-of-a-kind. I love being unique! The door is heavy glass, not flimsy and light. The design is beautiful. It cleans well with vinegar or Windex. I will never have to worry about heavy limestone buildup, like with most glass shower doors. The staff at Otto & Sohn were wonderful to work with -- Mabell in Customer Service, Maria in Accounting, and Omar in Production. My one recommendation is to be sure and consult with Omar about door dimensions. He is a wealth of information and knowledge!
