I would not recommend this company. I purchased a beautiful glass door from Glass-door.us. The website said it would be shipped in 30 days. It took over 60 days to ship. Before it was delivered the freight company called me and said that the door had arrived to them shattered. I ordered a second door. Once it arrived my contractor, who is very experienced and skilled, lifted the door and placed it very gently on the ground. The door shattered into a million pieces. There was obviously a defect of some kind in the glass as a normal glass door would not shatter like that. I'm so thankful that he found it right away and it didn't shatter after it was installed and I was in the shower!! So scary! The company refused to replace the second door. They were not understanding or helpful in any way. I asked for a refund and they refused. I will never use this company again and suggest that you don't either!
Beware- 3rd party seller to Overstock- DO NOT DO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES!!!! Ordered a closet door from them through Overstock with a 1600+ price tag and followed the measuring recommendation exactly/ it said to measure 1-2 inches more. It took 12 weeks to arrive. And it does not fit. I emailed Overstock- they told me to email the supplier. I reached out to Otto-Sohn and they said they Do not take returns. I’ve been back and forth with them several times. No apologies- no attempts to make it right- this was NOT cheap and they’ve made no attempts to fix - I followed the measurement instructions they provided to select my size. They say it was custom made- if so then why are there Only 2 height choices provided. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!!! AND DO T FEEL SAFE THAT YOU’LL BE COVERED BY OVERSTOCK. THEY'LL JUST HANG YOU OUT TO DRY AFTER TAKING YOUR MONEY.
I love love love my new closest doors for my foyer! I spent a great deal of time searching online for quality wood framed doors for my closet. That's when I discovered Otto & Sohn. Not only do they offer quality products, but they also offer custom painting in a huge variety of colors at no extra cost. My motif is southwestern, and I had the doors painted in Orange Vermilion. They go perfectly with my décor. I highly recommend Otto & Sohn for your closet door needs! I'm thrilled!
We recently purchased a decorative frosted glass sliding door from Omar at Otto & Sohn to cover the opening to the laundry room. Omar explained the process over the phone and we placed our order online. It arrived when we were told it would and was carefully packaged. The hardware we chose was on backorder, but Maria in Customer Service kept us informed and responded quickly when we emailed her with questions. Everyone at Omar & Son was helpful and pleasant to work with throughout the process. We love our new door!
Three years ago, we bought a glass-panel, sliding barn door from Otto & Sohn for our bathroom remodel. The door was the perfect complement to our contemporary design, and we enjoyed going through the huge selection of possibilities to find exactly the right design for us.It is much higher quality than anything I was able to find locally, and the price point was excellent.The door arrived right on time and in perfect condition. It has held up beautifully over time, not scratching or smudging like other products. We have also received excellent customer service from Otto & Sohn.Highly recommend!
Like others you see here, I can't recommend doing business with this company. They also took our money, shipped a door that was supposedly shattered in shipping and then it took many days to get a response. In the interim, we disputed with charge with our credit card company and I later regretted letting that lapse as they later claimed they never go the money back from the bank after agreeing to a refund. We are 7 months on now and my next recourse after posting this review here and at Google is to seek redress in small claims court. Terrible communication, follow through, and bad compnay to do business with.
Update:Buyer beware! When we went to install our new door the supplied trim kit would not fit together. We had to drill two screw holes to stop it from falling off. Took extra time for the install we also had to pay for. Contacted customer service and they basically said tough luck, we will provide parts that may fit but only at your cost. Here is their final response after several go rounds by email:“Although this case is not fortunate for you, this is the policy, instead of reporting the problem you preferred to do it after modifying your article, this is why we need to repeat again that you are out of company policy. As a courtesy we could send you another hardware for you to try and change it, but we will not provide any discount or uninstallation or installation fees. Do you agree?” Original review:Online ordering was seamless. Excellent communications with the company. Good shipping rates to Canada. Door arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. And it’s beautiful!
This company did an excellent job of creating our door and communicating with me. It took an extreme amount of time to get it but worth the wait. I only wish they'd asked me what side I wanted the etching to be on because it came with the etching on the front. The back would have been my choice.
