If I could give GLS a negative rating if I would, according to them no one is ever home when they "attempt" to deliver and the client is forced to track down their parcel to some random warehouse. I've literally written to companies begging them not to use GLS.
It is disappointing that a transport service does not utilize GPS on its vehicles for tracking drivers. This lack of oversight allows for inaccuracies in delivery reports, as they can claim anything without verifying the route taken. In today's world, relying on a virtual operator is insufficient, and there is a clear need for human representatives who can address inquiries effectively.
GLS couriers misdeliver parcels! I placed an order from a retailer, and they shipped it through GLS. They rarely ring the doorbell to deliver packages, often taking them directly to the pickup location. This time, it was marked as delivered, but I never received it. Now I’m left without my order and no refund.
Warning for all affected customers: 1. The correct contact email is the support address provided. 2. Calling them is pointless. Using the tracking number and zip code will always result in failure. 3. They only deliver packages to specific zip codes. Other deliveries must be picked up manually by recipients; otherwise, packages will be stored in their warehouse without any follow-up. This has been my worst experience with the service. There was virtually no support, and they deserve a score of -1. I only gave 2 stars because they respond to emails. In the end, I had to carry a 21kg package from the pickup location to my home myself. Absolutely absurd! 👎👎👎
For the benefit of all GLS Portugal customers: 1. The correct email for contact is apoio_cliente.611almirantereisatagency.gls-portugal.com. 2. Calling them is ineffective. Entering the tracking number and zip code will consistently fail. 3. They only deliver to specific zip codes. Other packages must be manually picked up by the recipients. Otherwise, they will be stored at their warehouse with no follow-up. This was the worst experience I've had with GLS Portugal. The service was nonexistent; they deserve a score of -1. An entirely unacceptable delivery service. I will refrain from ordering from any company that partners with GLS again. My package was stuck in the wrong city for nine days, and instead of rectifying their error, GLS simply returned it to the sender. I couldn't reach their customer service via email or phone; there was no response at all. This level of incompetence and lack of support is outrageous.
WOW, after reading the reviews, I feel for you all, but I've had 4 deliveries in the last 2 weeks without any issues. I live in a remote area in central Portugal with only a few occupied homes. They have located me every time. They don't hesitate to call for directions. This is fantastic. Our previous delivery service was dreadful. I truly appreciate this service. The delivery personnel are friendly.
GLS Portugal offers terrible service. I wonder why certain stores use them? My packages are NEVER delivered and are often returned. They claim deliveries happen between 9 am and 9 pm! A 12-hour window. I waited all day, and nothing arrived. Then they rescheduled for the next day. It's the same issue each time. Avoid them.
