I bought a GMKtec NucBox M6 Ultra (Ryzen 5 7640HS, 32 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD). It's cheap ($369), cute and fast, but I've had a lot of issues.
- USB ports can't support hard drives and keep dropping out (device not recognized).
- Ethernet and WiFi internet - very intermittent. Takes a long time to get connected, not reliable to stay connected.
- Bluetooth - connected to my Apple AirPod Pros, and the audio keeps dropping out/skipping - even though I'm 24" from the box.
- Headphone out is extremely noisy - digital noise. Unusable.
Apparently, these are common issues across all of these inexpensive mini-PCs. Ultimately, I guess you get what you pay for. Just want people to know that they are a bargain for good reason. I'm going to need to buy something more expensive from a company with a long history of quality.
Even before my order was processed, I requested a cancellation to switch to the EU platform. They informed me that the item wasn't in stock and promised a refund for the tax. However, they did not respond to my emails after I received the product. Additionally, since I indicated my preference for the EU version, it seems obvious that an EU plug should have been included, but it wasn't. As a result, I faced extra tax and FedEx commission fees, and now I have to purchase a converter from US to EU plug. Moreover, since it lacks a CE certificate, I will need to buy another EU adapter for long-term use. I regret making this purchase and do not recommend it.
Even before they processed my order, I asked them to cancel so that I can order from the EU platform. They said they don't have it from the stock anyways and they will refund me for the tax. They didn't reply my emails after I recieved the product. Also, if you are sending from China to Europe, and if I expressed my my wish to order from the EU version fo your webpage, I think it is clear that an EU plug should be used, but no. So, I get an extra TAX + Comission Fee of Fedex, then I need to buy a converter from US to EU plug. But for the long run use, since it does not have a CE ceritficate I need to buy another EU adapter. I wish I did not buy this at all. I do not recommend.
Bought GMKtec Nuck 12, having issues with the CPU fan turning on by itself when in sleep mode every two minutes or so and also while running, i was told it was a firmware update issue and received from GMK bios and ec update; executed the update as per instructions and my mini-pc bricked and now won't turn on, corrupted firmware on the EC it seems, reached out to customer service given in warranty but no feedback
My experience with GMKtec has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. I purchased a Mini PC NucBox K12 in early December, and the unit arrived completely non-functional (it failed to power on).The primary issue is not the product defect itself, but the abysmal management of the warranty and replacement process:- Slow and Ineffective Process: The process has been prolonged for over a month and a half, with me being forced to send multiple follow-up emails due to slow and generic responses.- Critical Failure to Deliver and Communicate: The company formally confirmed receipt of the returned unit on January 7th and explicitly promised that the functional replacement would be shipped within three days.- Complete Silence Since Promise: As of today, January 14th, this promise has been broken, and the most critical point is that I have received absolutely no reply, no update, and no tracking number since their email on January 7th. My follow-up demands on January 8th, 13th, and 14th have been completely ignored.More than 40 days after my original purchase, I am still without a working product due to the complete failure of GMKtec's after-sales service to adhere to its own commitments or even maintain basic communication.I am now demanding a full and immediate refund. To future buyers: While product quality can sometimes fail, the quality of GMKtec's customer support is what you should truly be concerned about. If something goes wrong, prepare for an unacceptably slow and frustrating path to resolution.
We purchased a Mini PC in December.Despite the holidays, shipping was very fast. The customer service team was always friendly, very quick to respond, and always helpful. So far, everything is running smoothly. Thanks to the GMKtec- team!
Bought an Evo X2 System (Strix Halo, 128GB version). I am in Germany and the system got shipped from HK because it wasn't in stock in Europe. I was quite disappointed because of VAT costs (400€) but GMKtec offered to reimburse me. Great stuff! In delivery, FedEx had trouble delivering the shipment and GMKtec was very responsive and eager to help me get my shipment.Never had such a good customer experience with an asia-based seller. Would buy again!
I ordered from GMKtec (Order No. 00198479). FedEx tracking shows the package shipped from China on 12/02 and was marked delivered on 12/03. That turnaround is highly unusual for an international shipment and raises serious concerns about the accuracy of the tracking record. The shipment was marked delivered, but the package arrived empty (no product inside). I contacted GMKtec and FedEx to resolve the issue.FedEx advised that the shipper must initiate the claim/investigation. Despite repeated follow-ups, GMKtec has not provided a verifiable claim/case number or written confirmation that a formal claim was filed and active. Communication has been slow and unclear, and I still do not have a resolution (replacement or refund).Key failures in this case:No credible explanation for the tracking timeline discrepancyPackage delivered empty, with no prompt seller-led resolutionNo written claim details provided (case/claim number or documentation)No timely replacement or refund.Than reply from GMKtec,01/15/2026Once again, GMKtec has demonstrated unprofessional behavior with their latest response. Despite my repeated requests, GMKtec has avoided filing the required FedEx claim for the shipment they sent from China, which arrived in the USA the next day containing only an empty box—highly unusual for international shipping. GMKtec has repeatedly failed to take responsibility and submit the FedEx claim.I contacted my credit card provider, and they have already opened a dispute against GMKtec. I rarely write reviews, but I felt it was necessary to share this experience so others can be aware of situations like this.As of today, GMKtec still has not provided a FedEx claim number.
I ordered three mini PCs (NucBox M5 Plus) in December 2024 for about 685 USD. Less than a year later, one device started showing defects, it won't boot properly, the power indicator turns off immediately.Support instructed me to return the device to their German warehouse in Bremen, including a warehouse code on the package. I did exactly that. DHL confirmed delivery with a signature. On November 13th, GMKtec wrote to me: "Dear customer, we have confirmed your returned item." They asked for my address to ship the replacement. I confirmed, and then silence.A week later, they suddenly claimed the package could not be found. Now THEY want ME to pay: 150 euros to "search" the warehouse with no guarantee of success, or 100 USD for a new device, or accept a 100 USD voucher. This is unacceptable. They confirmed receipt in writing. As an EU customer, I am entitled to a 2-year legal warranty under EU Directive 2019/771. Internal warehouse problems are not my responsibility.Bottom line: GMKtec is fine as long as everything works. But when you need warranty service, you get stalled and are expected to pay out of pocket.
