Go NY Tours also owns Tea Around Town in Miami. My daughter (visiting from NY) and I wanted to do so

Go NY Tours also owns Tea Around Town in Miami. My daughter (visiting from NY) and I wanted to do something really special. Unfortunately, for us & everyone else on the bus that showed up 1 hour and 20 minutes late to start, it was beyond disappointing and easily a health hazard. Despite paying extra for priority seating, there was no distinction in boarding or seating arrangements.

The food quality was unacceptable as well as the service and attitude of the gentleman on board. The tri-tiered serving tray at our table was clearly pre-set long in advance, with items that had obviously been sitting out for an extended period of time. The “Cloud 9 Creme” served with the scones was spoiled and clumpy. When we informed one of the servers she apologized and told us she would get a new one. A male server came up to replace it and told us he only had one more that he was able to find and he explained with no concern that it was sour because, “it's been sitting in the sun by the window for a while,” which is alarming and unacceptable. To add further insult to injury, the replacement creme was also curdled, sour, and chunky. The scones themselves were stale and appeared to be store-bought rather than freshly baked as advertised. There were several other dishes on the plates that had gone bad, posing a risk for food poisoning. The ahi tuna was so spoiled that my daughter immediately started to gag and spit it out after one bite. Additionally, the mayonnaise used in the sandwiches appeared to be spoiled, and multiple pastries with cream fillings were soured.

In addition to the sour/bad food most of the items served as "luxe" which we spent extra money on to enjoy were not served as advertised. The “Adirondack Preserves” as were actually Smucker’s jelly in a plastic container. The “Nautical Splendor Lobster Roll” consisted of chopped imitation crab. The tea experience online is described as offering a significant amount of teas and explains each passenger is allowed to have 3 teas. Instead, we were told upon boarding we would be sampling 5 different teas and were offered less than half a glass of each. When my daughter asked for milk and honey for her tea she was told by the gentleman serving that they did not have milk on board and she could have water instead. I have never attended a tea service in which they did not offer milk with tea. Furthermore, the specialty teas described on the website where not what we sampled and were hardly "special". The hot teas offered had Twinning's tea labels and the cold tea offerings we were told were Arnold Palmer which is not consistent with the premium experience that was advertised.

The announcer explaining the tour route gave inaccurate information, at one point telling us that the street we were on was very old, about 1,000 years old. She also referred to houses that were not there and buildings that had been there for about 100 years as we passed Starbucks. She also sang 3 songs which was not advertised and blatantly asked for tips (that would go a long, long, long, way) at the end of the tour as we departed the bus.

Given that this experience involves serving perishable food on a moving vehicle, it was extremely concerning that the bus was hot and the air conditioning was either not functioning properly or ineffective. There appeared to be no proper refrigeration for the food being served either. Not to mention the experience of eating spoiled food and being stuck on a hot bus for over an hour and a half is not one I'd like to repeat or recommend. Healthwise, it was/is dangerous.

The experience was a waste of money and posed legitimate health concerns.

Awaiting a FULL REFUND.

The Driver and bus both are awesome…

The Driver and bus both are awesome here (Taunt). I don't know how these germs exist in one of the most beautiful city New York. I have many things to say but I just say never ever going to use the service of this driver.

Very bad customer service

Very bad customer service. Numerous times was given the wrong information by salesman that was supposedly a supervisor and also the bus driver. Would not recommend this company.

This company is allowing people to sell …

This company is allowing people to sell their tickets on the street and deliberately give people false info. I was in the city and bought a ticket off an agent and was told the ferry runs every 30 mins when in fact they run every hr and a half. I went back to the agent I bought the ticket from and they said they didnt know that was the timeframe but even after I told him it was I stood there and watched him tell another person that walked up that the tour was running every 30 mins. I called the customer service number on the back of the ticket yesterday while I was there and got no answer but when I called back today I spoke to someone and all she had to say about it was sorry for the misunderstanding. Also there was an agent with the people selling the tickets on the street and he said he was the manager but when I told him what happened he refused to give my money back.

Rip Off

This company will lie to get you to buy tickets and then you find out you did not get what you paid for. You do not see the paperwork until afterwards. They say the bus stop is around the corner and it is a mile away. They say they have live narration and they do not. As soon as we signed we saw what we REALLY got and requested a refund. We paid $124 for nothing. They Lie about everything. It was raining and he said the top was covered and showed me an actual picture. The picture was for when it snows.
