Two experts working hard at Gordon Brown (Sara and Casey) on my sale.While my buyers buyer (three homes in our chain) were an absolute disgrace, forcing five date changes and leaving me stuck, my buyers needing to rent a flat and their client, the first time buyer completely homeless for two weeks having had to leave her rental on the agreed date.Thanks Sara and Casey for keeping the whole thing on the tracks. Formal action is going to be taken against the other firms in this shockingly lazy example of how not to deliver to the professional standards seen from you.
If I could give no stars I would. Awful service. Don’t answer the phone, not call back when emailed. Delayed house purchase by nearly 8 weeks and are still refusing to confirm a date even tho we’ve had the final report and been chasing this. Stay away Looking at google reviews they are all very similar with the above review I have left. Your company delays completion and when advised you have completed the report you then have to get final completion in the final report. Not great service and would not recommend anyone use you unless they have 20+ weeks to wait. Also. No one answers your phone. It just rings out. Also not useful
We used Gordon Brown Law for our house sale and purchase and had a very positive experience. Our conveyancer Alex Findlay was responsive and helpful whenever we needed guidance or clarification during the process. This made a stressful process feel smoother and more straightforward.
The first few months of our house sale felt a bit painful with Gordon Brown Law, the customer service number is not the number you want to call, wrong information, rude individuals, telling us about a house sale that wasn’t ours, putting the phone down on us when realising they had made mistakes. Unfortunately this happened on four occasions…. Worrying! However, once we got the direct dial of our conveyancer, progress started to be made. She did fantastic meeting our revised sale date and on the whole, did a really good job.
We were nervous going into the conveyancing process as our last experience (with a different online firm) had been a nightmare. Fortunately the team at Gordon Brown Law were the complete opposite; they were incredibly communicative and professional and made the selling process easy throughout. Any issues were sorted out quickly and effectively. The quoted price was great value compared to other solicitors we had enquired with and any extra costs were clearly communicated up front. Unlike some other firms we spoke to, they had no issues with conveyancing a leasehold property and handled communication with the freeholders and management company very quickly. Our solicitor, Shafa, was very responsive and replied to all our queries within a matter of hours. She was very knowledgeable about the whole process and handled complex issues with ease! We would definitely recommend Gordon Brown Law for their great value and excellent service.
I felt that there was a lack of communication, and delays that were completely avoidable. I feel there was a lack of transparency and honesty about why the delays were happening, and did not feel there was any expediency for putting things right
