I used Gordon Brown Law for my house move. I wasn’t sure which law firm to go with as there were so many in my area, so I went with the company my estate agent recommended.Honestly wish I never did. I found responses were limited and ended up having to go through my estate agent and ask them to chase on my behalf as there was a period when my emails were getting ignored. Very frustrating when buying a house and paying so much money for a service. The one positive was that the staff on reception were lovely and very helpful every time I spoke to them. Sadly, I won’t be using Gordon Brown law again
Good value for money and great service - especially given some complications of the original deeds being written in bizarre (unreadable) script and the lack of land registry - all handled without fuss.And the money came through on my birthday too - result!

Kate was our allocated solicitor and we were most thankful . She was thorough and careful. However still managed to sail through conveyencing process in less than 2 months. Dont expect daily communication. Or even weekly as communication is only when needed. However Kate did always answer any questions we put to her. We are now happy and settled in our new home.
