We used Gordon Brown Law as first time home buyers. Throughout the entire process we were largely kept in the dark. Communication was extremely poor, and despite repeatedly reaching out for updates, we often received no response at all. Even simple confirmations, such as whether our documents had been received, went unanswered.This lack of communication made what is already a stressful process far more difficult than it needed to be. Others in our property chain were also confused and frustrated by how long things were taking, especially when weeks would pass without any response from our solicitor.Overall, the experience was incredibly stressful and frustrating. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Gordon Brown Law to anyone.
My last experience with a conveyancer was so bad I was not looking forward to this process. But Emily at Gordon Brown Law was excellent.I am so pleased I chose them, and my faith in the legal profession has been much improved.
Delighted with the support Alex Findlay of Gordon Brown Law gave me during the purchase of an auction property. The timescale and the need for a mortgage meant that we were always up against the clock but good communication and a ready willingness to deal with my queries meant that we were always just on track. I am currently selling my flat through Gordon Brown Law and have never experienced such dire service or communication. I have chased my conveyancer 5 times for an update on where the process is and haven't heard anything back from her for weeks, it's absolutely shocking and extremely frustrating! I also cannot get through to the firm on their phone after many attempts and 15-30 mins on hold each time, so I am lost as to where to go. Based on my experience so far, I would advise avoiding Gordon Brown Law at all costs.
At this stage I would leave zero stars if I could. The service is incredibly poor from start to finish. We have been in a position to exchange for weeks with all parties ready to go except for GBL. We’ve submitted the correct documents time and time again without feedback or communication on fixed dates which keep getting delayed. I would not use this firm again as everything has been so poorly managed and resulted in no end of extra stress. I hope the customer service respond to this and get our sale finally moving. I’ve submitted an email of formal complaint today and expect action to be taken but I won’t be holding my breath.
