I had a virgin experience voucher from my boss and did the Walk over the o2 and Street Burger inside the O2 afterwards.Burger and fries were excellent. Ordered two pints of Peroni at £7.45 each and nothing else so all we should have had to pay was £14.90 yes? When we asked for te bill it came in at £23.68, so that is £8.78 service charge and i had no option or was asked if i wanted to remove it.Certainly won't be going there again if they want £8 odd to bring two pints and two burgers and fries 10 foot from the preparation area to the table we were at.
We visited the Bread Street Kitchen in South Street near Moorgate, the staff were very attentive and friendly but didn’t know about the wines offered. The menu was a huge let down. It’s probably the same with all of the restaurants but if you’re vegetarian you are extremely limited. I ordered the cauliflower from the starter menu and some French fries, not really very healthy but not much else to order. The rest rest of the group was not over impressed with their choices. My french fries were as expected, cauliflower bites were awful, they were not crispy just tasted of cauliflower covered in flour. Very expensive for awful food, so disappointing and a waste of money. I wouldn’t recommend eating here.
One of the Worst Experiences I've Ever HadI made a reservation for my wife and me to celebrate my birthday, and initially, everything seemed fine. The staff was friendly and showed us to our table. After ordering our drinks, we placed our meal orders. However, my wife mentioned she has a slight intolerance to processed lactose but can handle unprocessed dairy. The staff returned and informed us that, due to her declaration, she could not have the dish she ordered because of their policy. The server said it was fine to serve me but suggested we can speak to a manager, even though we hadn’t requested that.Frustrated, we asked for the bill for our drinks and decided to leave for another restaurant. SO IF YOU ARE LACTOSE INTOLERANT EVEN IN THE SLIGHTEST STAY AWAY.
We had two meals whilst in London the first at Bread Street Pizza St Paul’s where we found the food and service to be excellent - the staff really friendly. The second meal a 3 course set menu at the Narrow Street restaurant at Limehouse. We had a lovely meal overlooking the Thames. The food was amazing and all the staff especially our waitress Talita really friendly and helpful. Would really recommend it.
My best friend took me along for a Sunday Roast in Bread st Edinburgh it was an 80th birthday present to him virgin experience voucher bought fo him by his son and daughter in law.Quite disappointed expected more the beef was reheated and almost impossible to cut with the steak knifes we were given, medium cooked beef should just fall apart! The vegetables were nice enough but not enough roast potatoes one and a half roast potatoes per serving!!!Cost of drinks unbelievable. Will not be back !!!!Will not recommend to anyone either!!!Please let Gordon Ramsay know about this, I have a huge respect for that man and hate to see this is done in his name.
Thought we’d try this, Ramsay has a good reputation. However what a poor serving and very high price. I expect to pay £30 for a bottle of wine in a restaurant but here it’s £30 for a 500ml carafe. Need to keep Gordon rich I guess. Caesar salad, mmm. To be fair tasted nice but on menu with anchovies. Large plate and the 2 tiniest anchovy fillets. Basically £14 for a plate of lettuce. My wife had butter chicken, beware rice is £4 extra for what amounted to 3 tablespoons. All in all a very poor and disappointing experience. Never again Gordon!
We chose this restaurant for the rooftop area in Stratford Westfield, London, good a birthday meal. On arrival we were told we couldn't use the rooftop, despite the rooftop menus being on their website. Awful service. Food was nice (pretty standard fare and not worth the money - trading on GR's brand name?). Three dishes were unavailable and long waits between courses. The WORSE THING was the customer service: different staff continually asking how the food was within minutes of each other. The wait staff presenting the bill to my male husband (so irritating) and when they asked how we found it today and I fed back, they became defensive. I didn't want to discuss it ... Finally, when I requested the service charge be removed, they volunteered to tell me it goes to management anyway and wouldn't affect them. Rude and unprofessional - it's a many thumbs down from me.
Went to Bread Street in Battersea Power Station. Ordered fish, chips and mushy peas, the peas were cold and the chips not far behind. Returned it to be reheated, was a bit warmer on its return. The chips were sodden in oil as was the batter. Most of my meal was uneaten, the waitress did not comment when removing the plates. Very disappointing, will not be returning and definitely would not recommend.
