Very pleased with my recent x5 Gousto meals. I chose a good selection & will re-order same meals again as my husband loved the hot dogs & tandoori chicken. It is so lovely to receive my Gousto box & know our next 5 meals are easy to prepare & cook.

Only had 2 weeks of meals and will try a couple more weeks, then will be looking elsewhere. Meals aren't as tasty as other meal boxes we've had. Missing an item on the first week's delivery, and our delivery for next week, the 3rd week, one of the meals I ordered 3 weeks ago has been sold out. Was told this happened due to customers making changes and cut off points at the last minute. Not sure how this should affect me if ordered and confirmed well in advance, 12th Feb.

I’m giving them 3 stars because the in-App Help chat was good. I did get through three different individuals in the course of resolving my issue but they were all very quick to respond, albeit I had some conflicting information and one of my issues wasn’t clearly resolved. I was impressed that they immediately volunteered compensation by way of £5.00 credit on my account and then agreed to refund my credit card without any quibbling when I decided not to proceed with their service.

I gave Gousto a try because my daughter had used them a couple of times successfully and had forwarded me a link for 65% off my first box. It was perfect timing as it coincided with me being away for a few days; I ordered a box for delivery the day after I returned as I knew I wouldn’t be able to do a food shop. Unfortunately, due to an unspecified problem with their courier DHL, my order was cancelled by Gousto on the afternoon of the delivery date. This was massively inconvenient as I was relying on them to feed my family for the next couple of days until I could get to the shops. I contacted the in-App Help Chat who eventually were able to confirm no food was being delivered. The discounted cost plus £5.00 was credited to my Gousto account within about 30 minutes. They also agreed to reinstate the 65% discount code. However, I was unable to find the code anywhere on my account. As the discount (and timing) had been the main reason I had given them a try, I decided not to proceed further and asked for my credit card to be refunded.

I understand that Gousto are at the mercy of their courier and some things are beyond their control. I’m just disappointed that it didn’t work out for me on this occasion. The recipes looked really nice and I could see it being useful for those occasions when I was coming home to an empty fridge after holidays. Maybe another time, Gousto. Meanwhile, I have to make an emergency trip to Aldi!

Excellent quality ingredients and delicious recipes. Customer service is spot on too. One item was missing from my week’s order so I contacted Gousto and was immediately credited with an appropriate amount to my account. Problem solved, no hassle.

Tried for one week dissatisfied so cancelled subscription which was not easy to do. Now sent another box despite not ordering anything-how can they do that as no idea what I wouid like. Rang up and got stroppy customer service. Kept quoting terms and conditions. Very unhappy with service. Won’t use again.

The meals I've had have been delicious with easy to follow recipe cards. I've had problems with delivery however, one box went to another estate altogether and I never found it, one box was left by back gate in the rain even though I'd asked for it to be left in front porch (even left note on front door) and my last box was delivered to a neighbour even though I was home. I'd like the recipes to be tailored for air fryer cooking especially if you're cooking for one. The ingredients have been in good condition apart from one damaged red pepper. I'm only on my 4th order so I'll see how it goes especially with the deliveries issue.

Loving Gousto! Food is great quality and love the fact nothing goes to waste, great portion sizes and don’t need to constantly think of what to have for dinner everyday! Have saved so much money too using gousto! Only downside I had was one week I didn’t select my recipes in time and they sent out 4 lots of prawn pasta 😩 I mean my mistake but 4 lots ! 😩

So I have had Gousto for a month now. I have found although the recipe cards are good, the quality of the produce is poor and often goes mouldy. The meat o my has 4-5 days shelf life so has to be frozen before use and the delivery only turns up 50% of the time.

Gousto do say they will refund you (waiting on that) but that doesn't change the fact I paid £45 and have no food and won't get that money back for a week. Add to that I was supposed to have £20 credit from a referral code but it doesn't show you how you can apply it it's not the best and as soon as I work out how to get the next order with the credit used I will be cancelling my subscription.

Better to get recepies from their website and get the ingredients yourself.

Update and dropped the stars from 2 to 1:
After contacting the site team for the flat, CCTV shows the box was refused at concierge (where delivery for food shouldn't ever happen anyway) and I was in all day so just pure laziness of the driver to not deliver. I then contacted DPD who said In that time the box went from perfect condition as photographed back into the van and is now 'damaged' so the driver likely helped themselves to the box.

I then called Gousto who apologised but said they can't do anything and I will not be getting a box this week. They also can't ensure it won't happen again and all I got was some flimsy fluff and 20% to say sorry. I asked if they could use a different courier at all as DPD in this area is known to be bad for mail stealing but they won't/can't

Will be officially canceling my subscription as I have no intention to keep feeding someone else.

Until they have a more reliable courier I would never recommend Gousto.
