I have been a Grover customer for a long time. I’ve rented, returned, and even purchased several devices without any issues in the past. Unfortunately, my latest experience has been completely unacceptable.

I rented an iPhone 15 Pro Max and followed the official return process exactly as instructed. On December 3rd, I downloaded and printed the return label provided by Grover.
On December 11th, I dropped the package at a UPS drop-off point. UPS tracking clearly shows that the device was delivered to Grover’s warehouse in Germany on December 19th.

Normally, whenever I return a device, I receive a confirmation email from Grover stating that the device has been received and will be inspected. This time, I never received that confirmation. That was the first red flag.

At the end of December, I opened a support ticket because the Grover app still showed that the device had not been returned. I was then asked to provide proof that I had used the return label — even though the label was generated through their own system and accepted and processed by UPS.

After weeks of back and forth, on January 22nd — more than a month after delivery — I was informed that Grover had received an iPhone 11 instead of my iPhone 15 Pro Max. This is absolutely incorrect. I only returned the iPhone 15 Pro Max that I rented.

To make matters worse:

* I was never notified when the package was received.

*Grover’s system allegedly shows that I never used the return label, despite UPS confirming delivery.

* Over a month passed before they claimed the wrong device had been received.

* They continue charging me the monthly rental fee.

As of February 20th, I still have no resolution.

This situation is deeply concerning. Either there is a serious internal warehouse handling issue, or something went wrong during processing — but in no way should this be the customer’s responsibility when there is proof of delivery.

I expect Grover to:

Immediately stop charging me.

Conduct a proper internal investigation.

Resolve this without shifting the burden onto a loyal customer.

Until this is resolved, I cannot recommend Grover. What was once a reliable service has turned into a very stressful and frustrating experience.

Just a fraud.. i paid 3 years for an Ipad, it was availabel for 1 Euro to buy ti from themm i kept the rent to have insurance so when i needed it to fix the screens they just canceled the contract and said no more ipad would be available.. so now i paid 3 years for an ipad to be able to keep it and have literally nothing and my money lost. This is a fraud. they should comply with their contract and replace or repair it.

Frustrating experience with this company!

This company withholds important information! I feel deceived and very frustrated! Over two years ago, I entered into my first contract for a phone, clearly stating on their website that once the payments were complete, the phone would be mine. I paid off the contract, and the phone became mine. Months later, I signed a contract for a coffee machine, expecting the same promise — that I would own it after the contract ended. However, without any notice, I later found out that I couldn't purchase it when I tried. I was told I had to return it at the end of the contract, and they automatically renewed it without informing me. Now, over 24 months later, I still can't acquire the item, despite paying for two years. They did offer me the chance to buy it, but only if I paid half the price again — around €400 — even though a new one costs €500, and I've already paid €30 a month for 27 months, totaling €810. I've more than covered the cost, and now they want another €400? It's disgraceful for a supposedly reputable company to act this way, and I feel misled, as I was never informed of any policy change before signing the contract. They clearly misled their customers. I tried to negotiate, but they showed no willingness to help. Now they say they don’t want to sell the item and that I can return it if I wish, but won’t provide any solution for me to keep it. What now? I refuse to return an item I've already paid enough for. The item has been used — will they try to charge me for that? And if there are any minor damages, will they charge me even more? These companies deceive consumers and treat them like fools. It's shameful. I do not recommend them, and I want a resolution! At no point did the company clearly communicate any changes to the policy, and they certainly did not inform me before I signed the contract. The company advertised the product with the promise that it would belong to me at the end of the contract. Now they've changed the rules, leaving those who trusted the previous policy feeling misled by false promises. I demand a solution, as I have paid every month for 27 months and continue to do so. It seems that if I stop, I must return an item I've already fully paid for, or continue paying indefinitely? This is outrageous!
