Awesome little side tables. The pair I bought just fits in seamlessly with my décor and the best bit it is it can be disassembled and stored in a small footprint. Thank you Hartsmede for the excellent product and service. Highly recommended
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. I have been completely ripped off. Bought a salad bowl and three platters but all were faulty as the surface on each of them was all bubbling up (as others have written). They sent replacements that were also faulty but ignored me when I asked for a return label. They then went ahead and charged me for the replacements! I have contacted them several times since but they ignore all my emails which means I’ll have to escalate the issue.Their products might look nice but the quality is really poor and the customer service is criminal.
Bad customer service! Tried to contact them numerous times regarding a wooden candle I have purchased. When we lit the candle the wooden bowl caught fire not long after, which was very scary. Whilst trying to put the bowl out, the wax was so hot it burnt my carpet as we tried to remove it from the house because the fire alarms were going off! Very scary, these items should be removed from the shop, as the damage could have been a lot worst.
I would give no stars if I could. Appaling quality of product. I bought a cupboard and the joinery was appaling. The cupboard resembled very little what it looked like online. The front wasn't painted in places, the finish was awful and there were places that had been very badly filled. The doors didn't align and the whole thing looked cheap and there was no quality control seemingly done on the product. Long delivery time too. My item was also damaged in delivery. Bad customer services, many weeks and phone calls to get the item picked up and then took almost 2 weeks to get a refund. Avoid this company.
We really wanted to love the side table we bought from Hartsmede but honestly the quality is just appalling.The positives:- Seems to be made of real timber- Looks decent from afar- Drawer runners are very smoothThe negatives:- The design on the top trim is clearly a different shape than the photos- The wood is cracked- Neither the front nor top designs are centred- Very thick opaque white adhesive is visible- Adhesive was put on so thick it oozed out the top and dried- Many of the white stencilled cut-in's are a discoloured yellowish-brown- The screwed-on base of the feet look misshapen- The legs have holes in them and have globs of leftover solder- The drawer knobs are loose and cannot be tightened because an interior front was installedThis is a far cry from the handcrafted, high quality we were promised and is inexcusable considering the premium price. No discolouration, centred designs, no obvious thick adhesive, and clean feet are all reasonable expectations to have when purchasing a piece of furniture, especially one priced above market.We've contacted Hartsmede about the significant quality control deficiencies and have yet to receive a response.We are very disappointed and just wish Hartsmede made furniture that matched up with their marketing.
Extremely poor quality side tables. Returned due to the legs not fitting properly. I’ve still not received my refund from them after sending them back over three weeks ago.Extremely poor response from their customer service. Definitely avoid!!
