Review Time
This was a poor experience. My appointment was cancelled due to staffing issues 2 minutes before the start time, and I’d already travelled 30+ mins from home to be there. I understand people get poorly, but 2 minutes notice wasn’t great.I then rerouted to another centre 1 hour away, where the procedure wasn’t great. A trainee/new staff member was running the session, and unfortunately I was left with a blown vein following blood draw. This is the first time it’s ever happened, and seems it’s a technique issue rather than a me issue (from subsequent medical follow up it’s likely over penetration through the back of the vein due to poor insertion angle). I also realised after leaving and seeing the items remaining in the blood draw kit that the site wasn’t cleansed and sterilised prior to needle insertion.
Caitlin, nurse at Superdrug, Bradford was very professional, putting us at ease before our vaccinations. The appointment was very relaxed and Caitlin had prepared all the relevant information to give & talk through and was happy to discuss any concerns or questions we had.
This was my second visit to the clinic at Newport Retail Park, for a follow-up appointment with Gemma.To my surprise, she remembered me from my previous appointment back in April and what we talked about at the time, as I have had a lot of difficult personal circumstances this year. Gemma was equally lovely and caring at this appointment. Honestly one of the most caring nurses I have come across and is a credit to Superdrug!
I visited the Manchester Piccadilly Superdrug clinic on 17/11/25, 4:45pm for a blood test. I can't remember the name of the nurse, but I wanted to leave a review for her! She was professional, patient and calm. I was allowed to bring my partner with me during my blood test for moral support. She explained the procedure, consent form and other processes to me clearly. Bloods were taken relatively quickly. She really guided me through the process to help lessen my panic, offered me water and some sweets to get me back to reality. Thank you for your patience again. I've actually received my results today, so I can confirm it is a speedy service.
Was difficult to book an appointment for a private Flu vaccination online as no option shown, ended up calling the health clinic direct. Spoke to the lovely nurse Kayleigh and she booked me in. On the day of the appointment, Kayleigh was very friendly & efficient. Great value, half price if a Superdrug member.Superdrug you just need to sort your website out.
I have visited the Watford branch twice and the customer service has been amazing! The nurse was informative, reassuring, and professional! I will definitely be recommending this branch and service to others looking for travel vaccinations - thanks!
It was easy to book a travel appointment and the nurse I saw was able to easily guide me through the risks of where I'm travelling to, what vaccinations would be best to have, how I can stay safe while abroad in Africa, etc. I left feeling well informed and with the relevant vaccines and documentation.
