Review Time
I have two HM311 security cameras. In both, I tried to use an SD card for recording, which worked merely for a month then quit working. Tried everything - deleting footage, resetting cameras, resetting app. Even new SD cards. Nope, guess you gotta pay for their cloud storage services now. Pretty sure that was planned from the start. Oh well, so I paid for cloud storage. I'd still give three stars if that's how the story ended. But... Then I decided to cancel my subscription. The cloud storage ended immediately upon canceling, but they would not/could not cancel the recurring billing charges. Eventually I had to cancel the credit card and dispute the charges. What a hassle! Horrible company. It's a trap.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. for 3 years I've been trying to have someone contact me from customer service because one of my cameras is faulty and they have not once emailed or called me back. I will never purchase another item from this company.
I bought the Heimvision HM241 for my home and it's worked well since 2021. Since the whole system was only $179 I think that's amazing value for the amount spent. I'm having a little problem now with the NVR but support has been great and we're trying to figure it out. Considering that we spent a great deal more for a Night Owl system for the business and have had nothing but problems, including no support whatsoever from the company, since they discontinued support for many of the older systems.
BUYER BEWARE: planned obsolescence. I bought two security cameras from Heimvision in 2022 - the app was never brilliant but it did the job. A few weeks ago I got an error message when trying to log into the app "Request Timeout 4039". After contacting customer service I was told "this app is no longer maintained" and so I'm left with perfectly working hardware that I've no ability to use. There's no third party apps they let you use either. Not only is this pretty awful for the enviroment and waste, but I'm having to buy a new system as they've decided to abandon it. I'll never buy anything from this company again.
