We had been in the system of obtaining a diagnosis for ADHD and ASD for the previous two years, dealing with both community paediatricians and other private providers. HELD HEALTH were referred to us under the Right to Choose pathway and they didn't disappoint. Their processes were slick, the professionals we liaised with were fabulous and were clear experts in their field. Such a relief to deal with an organisation who aptly have the right name. We felt 'held' at all times of the process. We cannot thank you enough!
We have used Held Health through RTC and private assessments. Whilst the RTC application was smooth to navigate you do not get a dedicated contact support as you do with a private diagnosis. Having Jack as our primary contact both by phone and email was much more streamlined. All of the clinicians we saw for the ASD and ADHD appointments were kind, supportive and went beyond to help us. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Held to anyone wanting to explore a diagnosis of ADHD or ASD
Very misleading and shocking communication. It tells you 20/28 weeks wait time once you are ready for assessment. What they don’t tell you is how long it takes to be ready for assessment. My GP submitted my son’s referral at the beginning of February. No confirmation it has been received, no response to email, telephone or call back. These processes are already a stressful time for parents without feeling totally ignored. While I do appreciate the demand for this service is high, a simple confirmation email is surely not too much to ask. I wish I had chosen a different provider.
I had a brilliant experience with Held Health. We had our 3 appointments within the same month so there wasn't too much waiting in-between. Every professional I have spoken to has been so calm, polite and understanding. Our first appointment ran over but they didn't moan at all, they were happy to listen to all of my concerns which was such a nice change as other professionals have made me feel like a paranoid mum. During the in-person assessment the professional was so patient with my daughter, she didn't put any pressure on her and I could see that my daughter was as at ease as she can be when meeting new people. The diagnosis appointment was handled perfectly and felt really personal. Held Health noticed traits in my daughter that even I hadn't which was really helpful. My only niggle is that following the diagnosis we attended a workshop, this was 3 months post diagnosis and during it we were told about other workshops that had run, that it seemed quite a few people including myself hadn't been invited to. It seems as though there may be an issue with sending the invites out following diagnosis, so perhaps this can be looked in to but otherwise all in all I am extremely happy with the experience we have had with Held Health, thank you.
Pleased course offered. Usefu. Never got the invite to all the other courses would have liked to attend and would ask that you re run them please. Useful to be able to ask questions live and see others' experiences. Would HH consider having a moderated forum for your service users also, I know cost implication and GDPR implication.
REALLY CLEAR WORKSHOP aims, clear delivery, well paced and informative. Claire gave clear pertinent information about autistic burnout, what to look for, why and how our child might experience it and how to ask schools for help, and as parent how we can help our child if they experience this. Also provided information after the session, and answered lots of questions that the attendees asked.
My daughter was referred for a Right to Choose ASD assessment on 12/03. I submitted all requested forms by 16/03 and received confirmation that they had been received. I was then later told by email that the parent assessment had not been completed, which makes no sense given that the paperwork had already been acknowledged.Since then, I have sent emails and left voicemail messages, and nobody has responded. For a service dealing with children’s assessments and sensitive personal information, this lack of communication and apparent disorganisation is unacceptable. What is especially concerning is the handling of the information already submitted. If forms were received and acknowledged, why am I now being told something is missing, and what has happened to the information provided? Given the sensitive nature of these forms, this raises serious concerns about record keeping and data handling. When parents are seeking an autism assessment for their child, they need clear communication, accuracy and reassurance that personal information is being managed properly. Unfortunately, my experience so far has been the opposite.
