EDIT: They called again despite my request to stop contacting me and refused to confirm my removal from their list, responding sarcastically. This service is unprofessional. I had previously expressed my disinterest, yet I continue to receive persistent robo-calls about my application, which contradicts their stated policy. This situation should not be permissible.
I had a great experience with Tomo! My loan advisor, Jeff, was super attentive and really thorough throughout the whole process. As a first-time homebuyer, I had tons of questions, and he was always kind and patient in explaining everything. I did feel a bit of pressure from my agent and the seller to go with a local lender, but I’m really glad I stuck with Tomo. The whole process was smooth, communication was clear, and everything went as promised. I don’t regret choosing an online lender at all and would definitely recommend Tomo to anyone buying a home!
Communication was poor. I was told that Tomo was a real mortgage company that would service my loan, but they ended up selling it. The loan officer didn’t appreciate that I was comparing offers from different lenders to get the best deal, he even mentioned that he answered my calls on weekends and late evenings, but other lenders did the same and were always patient.The worst part is that although I locked my rate, they charged me more in points just a day before closing, with no communication or explanation. I decided to pay the extra cost to close on time, assuming it was an error that would be corrected later—but nothing was fixed.I do not recommend this company
I found Tomo Mortgage when reviewing companies through NerdWallet.com and I was very happy with the experience and the mortgage rate received as it was better than the bank's I have used for years. Aaron Shaw was my loan advisor, and he was very available and professional throughout the entire process. I would absolutely use Tomo again in the future and would like to send a thank you to the entire team!
