Review Time
I am still waiting for the first issue of a magazine that was a Christmas gift for my granddaughter, ordered on November 13. Despite multiple emails to the support team, I have received no help. I was at her house for Christmas until January 1, eagerly waiting for the magazine, but it never came. This has left both my granddaughter and me feeling very let down.
I ordered a magazine subscription as a Christmas gift for my granddaughter on November 13, well ahead of time. Despite sending four emails to the support team, I've received no help. I was at her house for Christmas until January 1, and we waited daily for the magazine, but it never came. This has left both me and my granddaughter feeling extremely let down.
I called to inquire about a magazine subscription and activity boxes for a 6-year-old. The agent rushed me for my credit card info to renew the magazine. When I asked about the age category, I was told it was for ages 3 to 6, despite clarifying the child's age. The agent mentioned updating the age group after processing the payment, but I felt uneasy. I decided against purchasing the activity box subscription and clearly stated I didn't want to renew. The agents seemed uninformed about the products and just focused on taking my payment.
I've ordered a magazine subscription and paid twice this year via a payment platform, but my grandchild never received the magazine last year either. This feels like a scam. I thought ordering directly from the publisher would be safe, but now I feel misled. They owe me a significant amount for the subscriptions.
This isn’t about the quality of the magazine, which is great. My complaint is with customer service regarding the subscription renewal. I had to follow up on the initial delivery, finally received it, and then asked them not to renew the subscription. They canceled it prematurely and promised a refund, but after not seeing it, I learned it would take time to process. I’ve had to reach out multiple times for updates, and their responses have been frustratingly vague.
I ordered subscriptions as gifts for two children, only requesting a one-year term. Without my consent, I was billed for a second year. After threatening to report them, they agreed to refund the second charge. I cannot recommend ordering from them.
The magazine subscription has not been delivered, and it’s now three months overdue. I've contacted them repeatedly, and they keep apologizing and promising to extend my subscription, but nothing has changed. Update: They have apologized and issued a refund, and are sending the latest magazine edition, which is appreciated.
The product quality is poor, and customer service practices are frustrating. The activity books are poorly bound, leading to pages falling out. Their return process lacks tracking, placing all responsibility on the customer. Even with proof of delivery, they claim not to have received it and continue billing. Customer service is rigid and unsympathetic, only focused on collecting payments.
I purchased a year’s subscription as a gift and was initially told the first issue would arrive in 4-6 weeks. Now it’s been eight weeks with no sign of it. Customer service couldn’t explain the delay or provide an estimated arrival date. I advise caution before ordering as a gift due to their poor customer service.
