Looking forward for future updates

Easy to wear and use, it shows how small things in life can impact your blood pressure. Hope to see more helpful features in future.

After a while it became uncomfortable to wear. The readings when checked against an omicron device were out and inconsistent . As I have really high blood pressure the inaccuracy for me is not good. On a positive it’s a smart looking bracelet.

Great little device

Incredible customer service from the team at every point. The device is accurate and helps me to update my GP with BP measurements at regular intervals which, in turn, allows my surgery to regulate my medication. The device is unobtrusive and I often forget I even have it on. The only complaint I have is that the Aktiia app doesn’t communicate with Apple Health. That would be an excellent feature for the next upgrade.

Works fine gives accurate results as I try to match with the traditional way to check blood pressure. Easy to use and I’ve had it for two month no issues works fine.

Reliable measurements days and nights

Reliable measurements days and nights. Works fine. Although the regular calibration is necessary it is a huge constraint and it is not straightforward.

A remarkable device

A highly innovative device to monitor blood pressure. Compact and convenient rechargeable wrist band connects to phone app.One must trust the clinical trials and calibration.Depends hugely on averages where occasional highs are concealed. Perhaps such averages are what is clinically required.Whilst a remarkable device, it is so radically innovative that it is yet to gain total medical trust.

It’s okay

It’s okay, but it doesn’t integrate with any of the Apple health system, which is a pain. I would’ve expected that for 200 quid.

Opinion after 2+ years of use

I have been using the Aktiia Blood Pressure (BP) monitor for more than 2 years. The order, delivery and use of the Aktiia BP monitor are easy. The app is well designed and also easy to use. The only thing that I wish could be done with this device is to measure the BP at the request of the user instead of being fully controlled by the device itself. Even though the BP values measured that way may not meet the requirement of normal BP (at rest, seated, etc ...), they could provide interesting insights (BP, during exercise, during chest pain events, etc ...) and could be separated from the other measurement (not counted in the average BP, different color on the graph, etc...).

It’s an excellent concept, but

It’s an excellent concept, but I’m really not sure how reliable the readings are. My readings are always really good, so why am I taking tablets! When I use a different BP monitor, the readings are always higher than my Aktiia readings. Plus if I’ve run to catch a train or exerted myself, there are never any spikes in the Aktiia measurements. In fact it often doesn’t provide a measurement for any exercise windows. If it did, I wouldn’t question its reliability as much. It needs a battery low warning indicator as I never know when the wristband needs charging, except when I go to look at my readings which I don’t do every day. I often have to uncouple it in the app on my phone then re-couple it and then it updates all my readings, which as I say are always perfect. Seems too good to be true and might try it for a few days with someone who I know has very high BP. Maybe it should be checked and recalibrated. On a positive note, if it’s accurate, it’s excellent for supplying trends to healthcare professionals.
