Seems to be a good device. What is most annoying is that you cannot initialise the device using a third party bpm. My Omron devices - I have 2 - consistently show different readings to the Aktiia cuff and I would like to use them to set the levels. But I can’t. Also there are issues with synincg on the cloud. Lastly the writing on the back is so tiny it’s hard to know if my one is waterproof. It would also be good when you have software updates to know why. Also as it’s recording something so vital it woukd be good if evidence was sent to me from time to time about its efficacy.
Very happy with my purchase, it tracks my BP trends & although it can very occasionally miss a reading this is not an issue. I found wearing the wrist band on my less dominant hand/wrist produced consistent readings. Overall a great product.
A very useful little device for people concerned about their blood pressure. Very light and unobtrusive to wear and splash proof (but don't wear it swimming). The app could do with Google health integration, but it works well and shows your results clearly. It's easy to share pdfs with others, so much easier than trying to remember to take your BPal manually twice a day.
I bought this thinking is this going to be just a gadget that I use just a couple of times, and that will be a no, I have used it every day, even sent a email to my Doctor & Nurse showing results, both said that they have heard about my new gadget, and both are happy going with my results. Good and helpful bit of kit, tells me what is pushing my blood pressure up,Driving !
Easy to use. Easy on the wrist even in sleep. Battery lasts well (1 week). Takes about 2 measurements an hour at its own discretion. You cannot ask it to take your BP now - as a cardiac "patient", I miss this very much. Also to get the measurements to the app you have to have an internet connection - strange when the app on your mobile is right next to the wristband and bluetooth connected.
This is a very useful device for those of us whose GP wants to monitor our BP. I consult my readings throughout the day for reassurance. At the end of each month I print off a report and submit it to my GP's surgery for entry on my records. My GP was blown away by my Aktiia bracelet and is going to buy one himself. Overall it gives peace of mind. If there is an unexplained rise in BP, then this alerts the wearer to take their concerns to their GP for discussion. I consider mine to be an excellent investment and it has given me much peace of mind.It is so much easier to use than a traditional cuff-monitor plus , because it takes your BP without you being aware, there is no "white coat syndrome" reaction.
