Thousand thanks to the Aktiia Support Team! My pod could not be charged any longer, no idea why, I didn't do anything wrong with it (especially not getting it in contact with water). Fortunately this was within the warranty period. I sent an email to the Aktiia Support Team and within a few days they had replaced my pod with a new pod and charger. All is working well now and I have been able to continue my blood pressure measurements with minimal interruption.
Still no ability to share with health professionals. Due to signal being required to use the app, only option is to print in advance. Printing is obviously not secure.No integration to Apple health to. This allows use without signal, and therefore integration to would solve the above problem.Other than that, bracelet is ok. Cuff reading vs bracelet is consistent. So all looks ok.
Delivery of the kit is quick.The monitor itself is lightweight, small and unobtrusive, easy to wear overnight too.Setting up is easy, but it works best when you’re strict about following the instructions - relax for 5mins before initialisation! This for me meant I had a decent level of accuracy in my readings. Although as I’m doing ‘stuff’ more often than not, my readings are often active readings rather than relaxed ones, not a problem, but does mean they’re higher than if relaxed using a cuff.It could be improved with greater flexibility in the app:1) being able to set MY target bp - rather than medical target -or even better being able to have both to compare.2) checking bp measurement when I want to without using the cuff - which I believe is coming in future app developments.
The bracelet works well, but the reading seem higher than a normal BP cuff & a lot of the measurements are single measurement for a whole 2 hour period. Maybe it could be advisable to be able to force one from the bracelet whilst relaxing or sitting down
