I booked a stay for my partner, who has a flight from Moscow to England. She had no prior issues with the service. I emailed to confirm if I could use an English MasterCard, and they assured me it was acceptable. After booking and paying for two nights with a no cancellation option, my partner arrived only to find out the booking was unpaid. At check-in, she was charged a higher rate, including an additional fee, which depleted her funds. Once the service realized they couldn't process my payment, they canceled it and chose the most expensive option without notifying me. I spent hours trying to resolve this, only to be told my card isn't valid in Russia, despite my inquiry. They failed to clarify the conflicting information I received or why I wasn't informed. I've contacted upper management but don't expect a response. Overall, the experience was frustrating, costly, and lacking in consideration.

The HVAC vent was filthy and dripping with dust. I spent four nights here on a business trip, and it was easily the worst hotel experience I've encountered. Within an hour of turning on the AC, a musty odor filled the room. Upon checking the vent grill, I found it covered in years of grime—completely unacceptable for any hotel. Housekeeping clearly neglected cleaning it. Other issues compounded the experience; instead of a proper blanket, I received a dirty mattress skirt, and I had to request extra sheets and pillows multiple times. I reached out to corporate about these problems and received no response—no one bothered to assist or fix anything. As a frequent traveler, I've never been treated this poorly. I left feeling disgusted and distrustful of the brand. I will not return.
It was extremely hot, and the management team was completely inadequate. My arrival in the sweltering heat nearly caused me to faint due to my blood sugar dropping in this rundown hotel. The check-in took 15-20 minutes, and after reaching my room, I had to return to the front desk to request an air-conditioned room, which I only learned about from a helpful bellboy. I called a manager who suggested I should have gone outside to cool down in 28 degrees. A second manager was rude and told me I should have waited in line until I collapsed, where they would have provided first aid. As a type 1 diabetic, I was shocked. She then yelled at me, denying a refund because I didn’t wait. The general manager also failed to follow up with me after her leave, giving me a runaround about a nonexistent refund. Overall, this hotel is unsafe and poorly managed, and I regret spending my money here.
The hotel had a stale smell and no air conditioning, and I was not provided with a fan. Apparently, only select rooms have a noisy fan, but I didn’t have that option. I asked for water, but they made me purchase it instead of providing it for free. The carpets desperately needed replacement, contributing to the stale odor. Breakfast was unavailable at 7am due to the breakfast room being uncomfortably hot.
I stayed at a hotel in Belfast on May 19th, and it was fantastic. From the friendly check-in by the staff to the excellent bar service, everything was great. The room was spotless, with a lovely view and a fantastic bathroom. The breakfast was outstanding. I've stayed at hotels globally, but this was the best experience for my friend and me. My only regret was that we could only stay for one night. I highly recommend this hotel; we had no complaints, and the deposit was not an issue at all. The fresh breakfast came off it. I hope to return soon.
I stayed at the Doubletree in Hyde Park, London, from May 4th to 6th, having paid in advance. Upon check-in, I was told I had to pay a £50 deposit, which felt like a scam since it increased the room price. I'm very frustrated and doubt I'll get it back. I urge everyone to avoid this hotel.
We had a wonderful stay at the hotel, with a fantastic location opposite a historical site and close to shops. It was a short walk to other attractions, and parking was conveniently available, though a bit pricey. The staff were friendly, and the hotel was clean. One staff member was particularly helpful in resolving a minor issue at check-in. The only downside was that the castle view was obstructed due to condensation between the window panes.

They assured me the deposit would be refunded if there were no issues. It has now been over a month since I checked out, and I still haven't received the refund. I caused no damage and only used the shower, towels, and bed, all of which were covered by my initial payment. Is this a common practice?
