Agreed a price of £49 on the phone for labour and £25 for parts! Ended up having to pay £120 for labour and £500 for labour! We refused to pay £500 but still was forced to pay £120, An eastern European guy came and took our door lock off and wouldn't put it back on our front door until we paid! Was threatening us to pay and said he would not leave until he watched us pay the money on the phone! Very horrible behavour! Avoid using at all costs!!
I’d give zero if i could! I rang and they quoted £49 for the job, they said they can open the lock without damaging it or the door depending on the mechanism, they never mentioned about callout charge. Anyway, this eastern-european guy turned up, very rude and quite frankly not helpful at all. He tried using this piece of plastic to release the latch, he didn’t put any effort at all. He told me, he will have to destroy the lock and put a new one and quoted me £200! I said I didn’t that kind of money at this time, he then said i can pay £100 in cash and the rest in card. He was very intimidating. I asked if i could have a go with the piece of plastic and i managed to open it MYSELF the first time. He was still charging £49 for doing nothing at all other than intimidate me into paying more.
Scamming turds that grossly overchargeAdvertised as free consultation - charge 59£ for itAnother 150 to drill a snappable lock that took a few mins30 for a 3£ lock£20 to screw in the 3£ lock which took 2 seconds. Absolute moronic company that would cost less if they just broke into your house and robbed all your stuff.
I called to be informed that the call out few would be £59. The total went up by another £91 for drilling 2x holes in the lock which took less than 30 second. Not to mention he had a cordless drill charged and a metal bit ready to go.Feel this was expensive and a shock to the system when I was informed of this. The work was completed before the total was agreed, on the phone prior I was informed it would be £59 unless a new lock was installed.
