Terrible Lead Service

Everything you see on here is pretty much spot on. If you use hometown quotes, expect at LEAST 30%-40% of your volume to be fake leads. Whether it is someone who doesn't have any of the vehicles listed in the lead, people who never requested a quote at all, or just flat out phone numbers and emails that are disconnected, you will find it all. And if you want a refund on these leads, good luck. Out of the probably 100 leads we have requested a return on, maybe 10 were actually reimbursed. They will not give you a reason as to why they wont refund them, and if they do it is always an excuse that doesn't make sense. I even once was told "we called the number provided and got through", to a line that we verified was not even in service. We have been using this service for ~6 months now, and I would estimate that only about 20% of the leads that you get through are even workable, and you may close on 5% of those. Overall, I would never recommend anyone in the industry use this service, unless you are looking to waste a lot of time and money.

Leads are aged and not vetted

Leads are aged, many times the names do not match the owner of the home. I stated I did not want leads on the weekend, and I still got leads on the weekend, however the customer service did fix that mistake and is supposed to refund me.

This company has deceptively stated if you have EBT food stamps then you’ll be privy to auto insurance for $29. Once they get your information those companies don’t offer any discounted insurance rates. Bait and switch is what I’d call this practice and it’s not cool!👎

Very poor lead quality for Auto…

Very poor lead quality for Auto insurance leads. The contact rate is terrible. They were accepting returns after 7 days with 15-20 attempts to contact the consumer. Now they deny all of those. No explanation given for the shift in policy. Don't waste your time, energy, or money with this vendor.

BAD, DECEPTIVE, OVER PRICED AGED LEADS

We decided to use this company on a Friday for the Real-time Leads. On Monday, they sent over 24-30 leads. We called, text and emailed - 100% of the leads that picked up confirmed that the leads were OLD from years past and that they had not made any recent requests. Lauren was the sales person. Mallory works in customer service. Neither were rude but the practice was/is deceptive and mirrors the other reviews I see here. Highly recommend NOT using this company. Highly recommend reporting them. Waste of time and $

Hometown quote leads are terrible

Hometown quote leads are terrible. I used them for life insurance and did not come close to getting one sale after giving them 200.00. The leads are not real time and the people you call if they answer say they were on the internet searching for something else and was redirected to Hometowns website.

This company is one I always try and warn people about in the industry. The leads are not real time as you will hear from clients (all of them) and the filters are absolute garbage and don’t filter anything not even lead type. $200 with a 50% match and I am still waiting on the refund for unused leads. If I were the kind of person, you could file a lawsuits against this company for false advertisement and assisting in creating financial hardship knowingly.

Dont use this service

I tried the service; I was advised that they offer home or auto but not both (RED FLAG); I chose auto thinking I could convert but after having difficulty placing just auto policy; being a very hard market in NYS, I asked for a refund as I could not use any of the leads (which are sent to other agents too). I only received a partial refund...not a full refund that I expected

I used Hometown Quotes several years…

I used Hometown Quotes several years ago and had a very bad experience. I was checking them out to see if things had improved but it looks like the are still trash. Some of the leads they provided were my clients and one of the leads was me even though I never requested a quote from anyone. Don't waist your money.

Quality Service that Raises the Bar

We are so quick to condemn and slow to praise, but with HOMETOWN QUOTES, I absolutely want to praise and acknowledge their dedication, the customer service team is superior to practically ANY other service. Queues are short for customer service, when you are speaking with a rep they are empathetic, try to understand the issue and offer suggestions. They are quick to escalate questions or concerns to management to provide immediate solutions and support.This is amazingly not a one-off either, I have had this service for a short while and have used the customer support system multiple times, for inquiries, advice, suggestions, etc. EVERY customer service rep has been wonderful to work with.Now, I have also spoken with the sales side of this service, and in particular a gentleman, Gary Prewitt - my goodness, he takes that exceptional service to heart. He has been a beacon and has recommended best practices, helped with CTA, he has followed up on his personal time for a query I had. This is the pillar to which all sales services should be measured.Now I say all that and I haven't even begun to praise the actual service, ability to exchange dead leads *within a time window, and ability to filter the lead types and specifics - this is beyond valuable. Leads aren't distributed or resold - just, wow. I only wish I had known about this service sooner. Sheepishly, I haven't referred this magic platform to colleagues (yet) and have been hoarding the water of the desert.
