HostGator migration.
They didn't migrate our websites properly and closed the access of our old server for 2 days.
Some websites are not working and they didn't give 2TB that we purchased we still have old storage of 1TB for 2 days and Hostgator doesn't tell when they will give the 2TB we purchased and do not say when we will get our website.
Used Hostgator for over 10 years now, possibly more. Their support is second to none. Are they the cheapest hosting company? Probably not. I tried cheap before finding Hostgator, and there's a reason I changed. Hostgator offer the best value and support, plus your website is always up too. Very satisfied customer here.

1 Star - Lost my domain, double-charged my
hosting, no resolution
I've been a HostGator customer since 2008. In
January 2023 I purchased a hosting package that
included a free domain registration. The
domain registration silently failed on their
end due to a "verification error" - no
notification, no email, nothing. Seven months
later I discovered someone else had purchased
my domain. HostGator's response was to blame me
for not checking sooner.
In the same conversation, I was charged $287.64
for a 3-year renewal on weldingjax.com AND $98
for a brand new hosting package for the same
domain on the same day. I asked for a refund on
one of them. They refused both - the renewal
because the "due date passed" (it was only
weeks old) and the new package they offered to
cancel but I'd still be stuck with the
overpriced renewal.
The support chat lasted over 4 hours. The agent
repeatedly tried to rush me off, blamed me for
their domain registration failure, and told me
they had "other customers to assist." No
supervisor was offered. No escalation. No
resolution.
15 years as a customer and this is how it ends.
We truly appreciate the outstanding support provided by HostGator and their dedicated team. They did an excellent job resolving our email service issues, which had been causing us significant difficulties.

These guys ROCK! They have some of the BEST customer service peeps I have ever encountered. I know this might sound like an "unreal" post, but I have been a customer for some time now, and I'm an old-as-dirt Boomer who loves tech, and these guys have taught me TONS about web hosting. Leave the "other guys" to someone else. If you want the BEST web hosting customer service, Host Gator puts you're right where you need to be.

Every contact point I've had with this company has been awful. They're more expensive than their competitor's, their customer service sucks, they constantly try to upsell you, they sell your data unless you pay them more, and if you don't, your primary email becomes unusable because it's flooded with 30 spam emails a day that you can't unsubscribe from.
Just a terrible company. I've been with them since 2018 and I can't wait until my transfer to NameCheap is complete. Idk if I can use profanity in a trustpilot review but I hate these guys.
