The chocolates are absolutely fine my gripe is with the delivery service, the Amazon driver delivered my package to a block of flats round the corner although it was CLEARLY marked with my address. I am disabled and had to go out to find them, Amazon are not at fault but they need to do extra training for some of their drivers in respect of reading skills, but looking forward to enjoying the excellent chocolates.
Easy ordering online...disappointed with delivery though. Parcel was delivered warm, so definitely left in hot delivery truck (despite the warning sticker on the parcel about not leaving in direct sunlight!). Giving as a gift so will have to wait for feedback from recipient about whether the chocs survived the heat :-(
Went to the Harrogate store today. Very disappointed that they had none of the 70% dark batons (our favourite). However Poppy was really helpful, suggesting alternatives and pointing out the selectors made of the same chocolate. She was knowledgeable about the chocolates and very cheerful to chat to. We might not have been able to buy what we intended, but left having had a nice experience and with a suitable substitute.
Feel slightly disappointed that there has been no thought in how parcels are delivered during hot weather! Unfortunately our order was delivered in the morning and left in a metal bin in quite hot temperatures until we arrived home (6hours later). Two of the 12 boxes that we ordered had to be thrown in the bin as the chocolates were all melted. I’ve not opened the other boxes as these are gifts, will just have to keep our fingers crossed that they are ok!
Fantastic service from Hotel Chocolat, beautiful chocolates, as always! Delivered on the date booked & kept updated on delivery time as well. The quality of products & choice on the website is just amazing. Highly recommend
i regularly buy Hotel Chocolat for gifts as the products are very high quality and there is always lots to choose from. Ordering online is so easy, the packaging is always perfect and I'm kept up to date with expected arrival dates and times. Highly recommend.
I had a wonderful visit to the Hotel Chocolat shop in Harrogate! The selection was absolutely fantastic—beautifully presented and full of tempting treats for every kind of chocolate lover. What really made the experience stand out, though, was the exceptional service. Poppy, the assistant on duty, was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. She added a personal touch that made the visit feel extra special. I’ll definitely be returning—and recommending this lovely shop to friends and family!
