Having received some of your delicious chocolates recently, I decided to send my daughter a birthday box which she really enjoyed saying they were very 'moreish'! From my own experience, they were some of the nicest chocolates I had ever tasted!Many thanks for good service and prompt delivery.
Living in New Zealand & wanted to send small Easter present to family in England. Had previously bought from Hotel Chocolat so knew it was good quality. Ordering online was simple. Delivery cost was reasonable especially when compared to mailing something from NZ. Information about order and delivery was updated regularly. Recipients totally surprised and delighted with chocolate. Would do this again as the whole process was excellent.
Bought 2 Extra-Thick Easter Eggs which I have bought before, unfortunately things have changed and they are no longer extra thick, I’d actually say they are no different from the high street, which is probably down to selling out to Mars. The taste has changed as well as the cheap packaging (the large container conceals a much smaller egg) BUT the price hasn’t changed to reflect all this. Summary - the eggs are smaller, thinner and probably with less coco content in the chocolate, overall definitely not worth the price any more. Shame on you Hotel Chocolat
I purchased a Hotel Chocolate Easter Egg for my granddaughter back in March and mailed it to the USA.The parcel hit a block at the US customs and was returned to me a month and a half later. When I was examining the Easter Egg on its return, I was horrified to see that it was assembled with no protective packaging like cellophane. You could just get to the chocolate inside by taking it apart and then reassembling it. I can see that the figurines inside the egg are manhandled and look slimy. I have no choice but to bin £34 worth of chocolate because of Hotel Chocolate's sheer incompetence in doing decent packaging. Whether it's legal to sell food products without proper protection, I can't tell
