Evidently, their great idea is of a service "without commissions". Tenants, though pay for the "privilege" of signing a contract! These companies exist only to take advantage of a complicated housing market. I can only encourage house owners not to start their relationship with their tenants by contracting a company to fleece them!
THANK YOU SO MUCH TO SONIA SANCHEZ, MARC CIURO AND JORDI GARCIA.We are delighted with this Team, (also, to Mariana for the viewings etc) who made it possible to have our new home within a few days. Paperwork done electronically on the web, Hurrah for the great technology, made the process easier and much faster. Despite not being able to consult this team personally, their service was outstanding, professional, and personal attention via phone/chats. They gave immediate response to any questions and explained everything clearly. With no doubt, HOUSFY is a professional company, with a personal attitude. Highly recommend. THANK YOU TO SONIA, MARC, JORDI for our beautiful home😊”
We had our mortgage organised by Housfy and the service was 100% excellent. Our broker was Eva Jimenez who has gone to great lengths to look after us. We got a good deal on the mortgage and Eva was always ready to answer our many questions with concise explanations. She also had to have a lot of patience because we had various problems with one house before finally being successful with another. I would totally recommend the service and especially Eva. Thank you Eva for everything!
Overall my experience with Housfy was good and Oliver really helped me through the process, he did a great job to help me become a home owner.First Oliver worked hard to find me a mortgage, even when other mortgage advisors had said it was not possible he didn't give up and got me a great deal. Next he talked me through each step, the reasons behind everything and translated documents (verbally) into English to make things clearer to me.My only problems came at the time I was due to complete the purchase. I had specifically said I wished to buy on a certain date to allow us two weeks in our current apartment just in case the vendor left things in a mess and so that we could clean and paint before moving in, this was arranged and so I set up movers and decorators and cancelled my current contract. The day before we were due to sign Oliver told me the vendor had decided he was not going to sign for another two weeks and contractually there was nothing we could do about that. This threw our plans into disarray (and caused two contractors to lose work) and left us just a couple of days to clear the mountain of furniture the vendor had left and prep for a decorator. The vendor was at fault morally, he'd agreed the date but Housfy had assured me that the agreed date was rock solid and it wasn't, it was just done on 'good faith' and I was not made aware of this. I'd been super clear in what I wanted to happen with regards to the date to sign and even offered to delay a month if it was a problem, Housfy told me it wasn't and so we moved on, I therefore blame Housfy for this (yes, and myself a little for not double checking). There are some other things I think that Housfy could improve on. First, have all of the contracts translated into English. I work for a multinational in Barcelona and we always have documents in Spanish and English, the text side-by-side. Barcelona is a multicultural city and has a huge amount of people who feel more comfortable reading in English so give the customers this option (even those of us who can read Spanish might still feel more assured by reading it in English).Second, again to do with language. Set up agreements with solicitors that genuinely speak English. We met three different solicitors, each of which were supposed to speak English but only one 'half' did. Not a massive problem for us but it would have still made the process more comfortable if they had, and again in Barcelona is that really something that's so hard to arrange?Overall it was a good service that can be improved and as I said at the beginning Oliver worked pretty diligently throughout the process, he got us to be home owners in this great city and I really thank him for that.
