Had to make an appoinment does not guarantee service

Had to make an appointment which is not an issue. But at the appointment time, no one attends to you. Imagine the security guard is the one who direct me where to seat. Waited aimlessly for 30 minutes and still no one attend to us. I gave up. HSBC Penang Tanjung tokong BranchThis is a correct level of service?

Had a nightmare experience with HSBC…

Had a nightmare experience with HSBC Telesales Krishnavenny Muniandy. Applied Personal Financing during MCO through HSBC apps in 2020 because Covid 19 pandemic and no bank was open for walk-in. I have applied RM50,000 loan for 3 years tenure from Day 1 of the application process. This lady did not reject my application but insisted that I took 5 years. I have asked her many times to pay for the 3 years and she kept mentioning that I will not be charged with any penalty/future interest as she promised that I have to take 5 years tenure due to cash back promotion at that point of time. From my 1st to 36th instalments, I have paid based on 3 years tenure (RM1701.40 for 3 years instead of RM1145.84 for 5 years). The nightmare started when I wanted to settle the loan after the 36th instalments. The telesales, customer service and feedback was very slow, even can take up to 46 days to respond without fully settling the issues. Now, HSBC is asking for an additional RM4503.02 being future interest for the next 2 years. Walked in into HSBC branches did not solved the issues as they claimed they have no power to help you. The only solution is to write to complaints dept but respond is very slow. The telesales claimed that all the conversations were recorded and in their Customer Service reply to my email, HSBC seems to find the whole recording but seems to put the blame on the telesales. I am not in the position to be involved in HSBC internal staffs misconduct, but Krishnavenny misconduct, misrepresentatio, misleading and not truthful during the whole application process is totally unacceptable and I am being penalised by HSBC staff's misconduct even by paying diligently and consistently from Day 1. This case is still unresolved and what is disgusting is the way the relevant staffs responded to me like it is none of their problem : "You already got scammed by our staff, but you signed already, we will settle with her internally but you have to pay us future interest". I was totally didn't believe that I have to go through this with HSBC.

Useless bank

Useless bank. Takes forever to get on a call with them. Expect 40 minutes on call and no solutions. Avoid this bank please. I regret it

Worst banking experience

Worst banking experience, 2customers in the que, and I have to wait more than 1 hour and yet my turn. The staff talk too much, about nonsence.

Tried several times to contact them from overseas ... no answer .. then wrote to the complaints email .. guess what .. bounced back as no longer in use ..

Ghost Customer Service

This is by far the worst experience I’ve had with a bank. Non existent customer support, so good luck to you if you need urgent help with your credit card. HSBC will let you down flat.Never going to bank with them again.
