Auction is a rip off, pallet of returns had nothing of worth, supreme auctions should check before selling, was not a full pallet either only half a pallet, everything in there was damaged, pallet delivery quote at time of buying was then increased absolute con.
⚠️ SCAM ALERT – Brightwell Auctions Ltd (Company no. 16378734)I almost lost £19,000 to this so-called auction company after bidding through the i-bidder.com platform. Here’s what happened:- I won a car auction (Volvo XC90) listed by Brightwell Auctions Ltd via i-bidder.com- I transferred £19,000 for the car and received an invoice marked “Paid”- After 4 hours, they sent me a second invoice for over £10,000, claiming “Buyer's Premium”, extra VAT and storage fees- I questioned the legitimacy of these fees — they began threatening with 6% daily penalties, and claimed I owed them more than £28,000- They kept responding professionally and seemed legit at first — even had a bank account at Barclays — but all pressure was focused on forcing more payments- Their Terms & Conditions are written in a predatory and abusive manner, making it nearly impossible for buyers to back out- After reporting to my bank and providing all the evidence, they confirmed this was a well-executed scam and I received a full refundI’ve reported them to:- Action Fraud UK- FCA (Financial Conduct Authority)- Citizens Advice (Ref: CCA-1988607)- Trading StandardsThis company uses realistic documents, logos, VAT numbers, and even detailed invoices with Barclays Bank payment instructions — but it’s all a trap.If you see Brightwell Auctions Ltd on any auction site, especially i-bidder, do not trust them and report immediately. I was lucky — many won’t be. All of it makes you feel it’s safe — but it’s a well-executed fraud.Bank Fraud Reference: FRA64442❌ i-bidder.com is also responsible: • When I raised concerns about the seller, instead of helping, i-bidder suspended my account • They claimed I was a “risk to future auctions” because Brightwell reported me • This shows i-bidder protects scam sellers and punishes legitimate buyers who question suspicious activity
Won bid on I bidder to buy a van from Brightwell auctions.paid invoice plus vat for van Then received 2nd invoice demanding payment of fees +vat plus there own commission fees which were 800.00 +vat which totalled around 1450 extra .I said I was not happy with there fee and sent someone to talk to yhem at registered address but business not at this address?Phoned up Brightwell ànd asked to see van before I paid 2nd payment they gave address of were vsn was being stored .was told to make payment by 12.00 next day otherwise would be charged for storage.I made full payment at 10.00 next day rang hannah at Brightwell office to confirm payment and asked about collection of vehicle .She said would ring me back .I then received a 3rd invoice demanding a further payment of around 1400 pound for storage costs I was flabbergasted. I Rng up office spoke to manager who told me that if I didn't pay in full I had no chance of getting van I bought van.in July and still not got van off Brightwell s.i believe they have mot van and taxed it on.1st September and sold it on again. They have not replied to any of my letters. Now owed £4700 pounds
Do not buy any vehicles from this “auction” site. They have an undisclosed reserve, their timed auctions are not exactly timed once ended they post the same listing again several times later. Their stock is usually disputed ownership stock which would be standing for years before sale. Look on other forums ex employees have whistleblowed that they have been bidding on listing. Take note and spend the little extra money else where
If I could give zero stars I would. Advertised a seven seater rattan furniture set and what arrived is nothing as described. Read the small print and do not use this company. They are awful. Spend your money on a reliable company
Avoid this is just a scam.I really don't understand how this is not illegal.I bought a pallet with tools from reputable dealer. In the pallet was 2 ceramic sink both cracked,1 bathroom cabinet with mirror cracked and 46 toilet seats 21 was damaged 20 no fitins and 5 ok.Price 120£ +vat+action fee.Big scam avoid.
Registering was very easy. No awkward questions Just email and password required as well as payment method, name and address Easy to log in . Excellent customer service. Answered all my questions. Just sometimes it's difficult to view all the lots and to remember upcoming auctions as they tell you about auctions happening a long time in the future.
